"Very responsive, squeezed me in last minute at the end of their day on a Friday afternoon. The young lady that helped clean that day seemed a little under the weather to boot, but she toughed it out. Probably wasn't their best work given the circumstances, but we'd have them back. Thanks! :)

"Mike Wall came out to the house (on time), looked at the worked needed and gave us an estimate. At the time, he was on another project but kept in contact to let us know when he would be done.
Started working on the house one room at a time making. Did a good job of cleaning up as he went. As he was working on the house, we pointed out small things that we didn't catch during the time of the estimate. Mike had no problem fixing those small issues and he didn't raise the price on us. The work came out great.
Mike is very professional and has a great attitude. I highly recommend.

Deck Repair questions, answered by experts

PVC decking can get slippery when wet because it’s made from plastic. However, composite and wood decking can also be slippery when wet. It’s best to wear shoes with grippy soles when walking on a wet deck, no matter the material, and to be extra cautious not to slip and fall down.

For a 12x20-foot (240-square-foot) deck, you can expect to pay between $7,200 and $14,400. This cost is based on a general price of $30 to $60 per square foot. The final price will depend on factors such as the decking material, design complexity, deck type, location, and local labor costs. Keep in mind that add-ons will increase the total; for example, adding an under-deck drainage system to a deck of this size could cost an additional $7,700.

Deck skirting shouldn’t touch the ground, especially if you have a wood deck, which is vulnerable to moisture. Ideally, you should leave at least 3/4 of an inch of space between the deck skirting and the ground for more ventilation. Pros also recommend that you incorporate about 1 square foot of space for ventilation for the underside of the deck to every 150 square feet of decking. Proper ventilation prevents mold growth and rot that can damage your deck.

Before installing a new railing, check the condition of the deck frame and joists, especially around the perimeter where posts attach. If boards are loose, soft, or show signs of rot, the structure may need repair. A deck pro can inspect your framing to confirm it meets load-bearing requirements.

You should refinish your deck to maintain its appearance, durability, and longevity. Refinishing your deck protects the wood from foot traffic and the elements. It also helps extend its life span by keeping rot, mildew, and termites at bay. By maintaining your deck, you can avoid the cost of replacing your deck sooner. A refinished deck also looks great and restores some of its original beauty.
