I called and emailed the top two rated home inspection companies on Angie's List on a Saturday morning. Neither of them contacted me, so I went to the 3rd rated company, Brad Leland Home Inspection Services. I could have gone with cheaper inspectors, but it definitely pays to spend a little more for someone who is thorough and very experienced, especially considering it's such a huge investment. Long story short, after three hours looking at the house, he took me outside and pushed on one of the side brick walls. It Moved! A LOT! I was in complete shock. My real estate agent was too. In 10 years, she had never heard of a home inspector going around pushing on exterior walls. That's how thorough he is. What made him great, in my opinion, is that he asked that I be there. He wanted me walking around the house with him so he could explain each issue. One example, he showed me the brick on the opposite exterior wall, and explained to me what to look for to see if it was cheaper Mexican brick, and how it slowly erodes away. I didn't end up purchasing that house, but I did use the lessons I learned from Brad to "pre-inspect" each house we looked at after that day. Thankfully we found a great house that Brad just completed an inspection on, and he was happy to tell me I did a much better job. I'd use him again in a heart beat, and will recommend him to all of my friends in the future.

Brad arrived exactly on time and immediately got to work. He conducted a very thorough inspection of the house with various tools, including a FLIR camera. He listened to all of my questions and concerns. The report of the inspection was detailed and was emailed to me within hours. Overall, Brad did an excellent job.

Brad and his wife came out to perform a home inspection on a house we are considering for purchase. They did a very thorough inspection of the houses structural and mechanical systems. They took the time to explain areas of concern and provided the complete inspection report within 1 day of the inspection. I am very pleased with both their professionalism and thoroughness and would definitely hire them again!

We called many other companies and ran into a huge disparity, both in price and quality of information. Some inspectors were downright unethical. Brad & Heidi were a refreshing change. Happy to be of assistance in learning the process, but refusing to engage in anything that would be a conflict of interest such as recommending companies to do the repairs. The report the gave us in a very timely manner, was thorough, professional and very well done.In follow up calls, Heidi continued to be helpful. She never failed to answer my questions quickly & thoroughly. Throughout the inspection, Brad was incredibly informative.

Thorough job, he gave us print outs of the information and also provided us with a CD with digital copies of the report.

We had Brad Leland do a 3-phase home inspection on our new Trendmaker home that we were building. The cost is split into three separate phases (pre-pour, pre-sheetrock, and final walk-through). The money spent is totally worth it. Brad found items missed by the builder and their inspectors at every stage that could have caused issues down the road. They are very professional, courteous, punctual, and VERY FAST in getting your reports to you. In most cases, if not all, we had the report that same evening. The reports are filled with color photos and very clear and detailed descriptions that are very easy for the average person to read and understand. We would definitely recommend them and would use them again ourselves.

Brad and Heidi were awesome. They inspected my new huge house and did a great job. Their inspection included an IR camera that caught things that others would have missed. Go no further - use these people for house inspections.

Brad and his wife, Heidi are awesome! They did a pre-purchase inspection for us and went above and beyond to discuss everything they had found and did a very detailed inspection report for us to take to the sellers for renegotiation. I highly recommend them! I was very impressed with how informative and caring they are.

Brad and his wife work as a team. Used them over a two week period twice. Very informative, very responsive with my good overall satisfaction with his work.

Set up appt for afternoon so we could travel there to meet with Brad about 4PM after he'd done most of the inspection. He stayed longer than necessary to answer questions and provide recommedations. We are very pleased with his thoroughness. He offered to continue dialog if we needed to have anything clarifies after he'd gone for the day. We did call him several days later and he took time to clarify our questions.

We have an addition on our house built on stilts. The room is shifting and needs repair. We had 2 repair companies come out and both priced repair at twice the cost. With this drought going on, we got the feeling that they have more than enough work and can be particular about the job they take. They are both reputable companies, recommended. We had an estimate from another company. At this point, we felt that a home inspector would be able to show us the problems and if it could not pass a home inspections for selling purpose of the house, what we could do to fix the problem. Brad Leland and his wife were wonderful. They were able to go to the heart of the problems with the room and suggest recommendations. They looked over the worksheet/estimation provided by the third company and provided insight and explanations. I was very pleased and satisfied with the results. This is a hard working team, very honest, and I highly recommend them.

They provide a very detailed report with photos the same day of the inspection. Nothing ever gets overlooked.

It went very well, we took his findings and were able to decide some very important things. We had a structural engineer look at the home, and negotiated our price a bit, based on what Brad found.

Brad and Heidi are wonderful! They are very professional, kind, thorough and efficient inspectors. We were first time home buyers, and they did a great job of showing us what they were talking about, teaching us, and generally making sure we were comfortable with the information they were giving us. They also have a good network of connections to get other things done (termite inspection for us) and were very good about that. Their prices are very reasonable, and they give you a printout right away of your inspection, and both the document and original digital pictures burned to a CD right then and there before you leave, so that you know exactly what everything is and where it is. Highly recommended.
