We asked three companies to give us quotes on having our pool re-tiled and re plastered. Pool Works were the most expensive, however they were also the most professional. The work was completed in the time stated and there was always someone over seeing the work. We had one small problem with a couple of tiles and this was rectified immediately. over all we were very happy with the work.

My pool is 15 years old and was in need of renovation. Kevin with Pool Works arrived for his appointment and described how the work would be done. He answered questions and provided options. He delivered a proposal as promised. The work crews showed up on time and completed the work as promised in the contract. They did a great job and the pool looks great. I would not hesitate to use Pool Works again.

I found them to be up front and honest, and it was a pleasure to work with them.

Overall, we are happy with the work. However, there was an issue with the pricing. Originally, we had intended to retile just one of the spa's walls, but the price was so good that we asked how much it would be to retile all of the walls. It was a very competitive price, and we double checked with the salesman to confirm it was correct. He did confirm the price was correct, so we went ahead with the retiling. However, the price increased greatly after the work started, and we were then told that the price had been misquoted which was frustrating since we had confirmed it so many times.

Terrible, unprofessional, unreliable

I think we got them off Angie's List and they were very happy. They are coming back to do installation of a saltwater generator. Their prices were comparable to everyone else's. I would have to say that they were A's.

Weather turned sour right after we signed the paperwork but they came out and diligently worked through the entire process. This was a very complex assignment as it involved a number of moving parts from tearing out some old paving, installing a drainage system, pouring new concrete, fixing a broken pool beam, remodeling the entire pool (coping, tile and plaster), installing a new pool light and upgrading the pool equipment and installing a new deck surface. The crews came out systematically for each component and the whole thing was choreographed and managed with expert precision. With all of the bad weather, it took about 4 weeks to get this done. If not for all of the rain, I bet all of this could have been completed in half the time. Communication was excellent and I am a very detail-oriented person, so I had many questions throughout the entire remodeling process. Greg, Kevin and Jeff Williams, as well as Bill Wismeg, were very responsive and answered all of my questions by phone and through email - which is my preferred form of communication. These guys are extremely professional, courteous and responsive. The crews all showed up like clock-work, worked diligently, were respectful of my property and cleaned up well. We had one mishap when a gate was left opened and our dogs got out, but this was the only problem we encountered. I also can't say enough about the drainage crew. They had to dig a very long trench around the back of the garage and all of the way out to the street. This was made difficult by landscaping rocks, a million tree roots (Kingwood) and they even had to chop out part of huge underground stump left from a 150-foot pine tree that had been removed a couple of years ago. These guys really earned their money on this one and the drain functions like a charm! Overall I am extremely happy that I picked Pool Works and Deck Works for my renovation and would highly recommend them to others. I found them through Angie's List and it was my first time to use this resource. Needless to say, I am also now an Angie's List fan.

Fantastic service, I can't say enough good things. This was a large job that went very smoothly including all the city required inspections. When unexpected issues arose they dealt with it with professionalism and kept us up to speed at every step of the process. They delivered exactly what we asked for, for exactly what they quoted. We would not hesitate to use this company again or refer to family and friends.

Good workmanship throughout, but the pool leak was difficult to find and fix. All work was finished, and the pool kept leaking. I was paying $200 a month in water bills because of this leak. About 30 days after completion, Pool Works called in a leak detection consultant. He found the leak quickly and the drain line was leaking through the main skimmer. He plugged that outlet and the pool stopped leaking. All is well now. The pool looks pretty with the new plaster, tile and flagstone coping around the edges. The only thing I am not too happy with is the pool light and the inconvenience of the light location on the fence. Overall, I would recommend this company. Their workmanship is good and they are professional and quick to respond to phone calls and/or questions.

They did a good job. They were there on time always. Their price was competitive with everybody else.
