Trapping USA is your local nuisance wildlife specialist. We specialize in high-end animal removal services for large properties. We take great care to not only resolve your present issue, but to secure your property’s future as well. We provide a full spectrum of services related to wildlife removal. Our technicians are fully trained and equipped to deal with all infestations common to DFW (rats, squirrels, possums, etc.) as well as those less common, such as bees, bats, and hogs. If it is in your property, we WILL take it out! We aim to meet the customer’s needs, by first offering a free property inspection. We do not then merely remove the problem animals. Our proven 3-step process seals the property against any further incursions, lays humane traps for a 2-week period during which they are checked 3 times a week, and cleans out all traces of prior animal activity before sanitizing the affected areas. Trapping USA also offers an attic restoration service, in which we remove your current insulation, sanitize the attic space, and blow in new insulation. We use a specific high-quality, environmentally-friendly cellulose product shown to lower energy bills, block outside noise, and improve air quality in addition to providing thermal insulation. We blow this material to a minimum insulation value of R38. Our 3-step process is backed up by a warranty program as well. Details should be discussed with the inspecting technician, but in short, we are willing to guarantee the quality of work on your property for as long as you own it, and to correct any new incursions. We also remove dead animals. Once done, we will still offer a free inspection of the property. Our trained technicians WILL locate how the animals got in your home and WILL provide a solution to get and KEEP them out. Our focus is to protect you from unhealthy living conditions caused by unwelcome visitors, and ensure native Texas wildlife continues to thrive in areas protected from human expansion.

"I had high hopes for Trapping USA, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. I hired them for a month-long service to trap and remove two coyotes that have been regularly roaming my neighborhood and particularly my backyard creek. While I understood there was no guarantee of success, I was encouraged by the promise of camera monitoring, regular trap checks, and the use of live bait. However, from day one, the execution was lacking. Despite their assurance, no live bait was ever used—just raw chicken. When I followed up, I was told they would only use live bait if coyotes were spotted on the cameras. Yet throughout the service, they claimed not to have seen a single coyote, even though I’ve personally encountered them multiple times, including just this morning when I came face-to-face with two large coyotes during a dog walk. I called the owner, Hunter, to express my concern and frustration. Rather than listening, he became immediately defensive, accusing me of being disrespectful and claiming I was “talking down” to him. When I asked for an example of how I was talking down to him, he couldn’t give one. He continuously interrupted, raised his voice, and refused to acknowledge the aggressive tone he was using. The conversation escalated unnecessarily, and his lack of professionalism and emotional maturity was apparent. While the team did trap a fox and a few smaller animals, the main issue—the coyotes—was never addressed effectively. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Trapping USA. Their customer service was poor, and the results did not justify the $4,700.00 cost."

FAQs for pest control projects in Houston, TX

Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:

  • Heat treatments

  • Freezing treatments

  • Traps

  • Barriers

  • Diatomaceous earth

  • Chemical pesticides

  • Fumigation

  • Rodenticides

  • Mechanical devices

  • Repellants

The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.

For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.

There are specific methods for pest removal that you can DIY without hiring an expert. If you are preventing pests from making an appearance or clearing out a small infestation of harmless insects, you will likely have success on your own. However, if you’re dealing with pests that eat wood, bedbugs, or other pests that carry a disease risk, like rodents, it’s always worth it to call a pest professional to help you.

Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.

While not every infestation is preventable, there are some actions you can take to minimize the risk of running into these pests in your home. These actions include:

  • Keeping your home tidy. This includes vacuuming regularly, sanitizing your kitchen, storing food in airtight containers, disposing garbage regularly, and keeping your home clutter-free.

  • Deep clean at least twice a year. Deep cleaning neglected crevices and corners of your home can help prevent breeding grounds from forming.

  • Repairing your home when needed. If your home has cracks or holes, you have an open invitation for pests to come in. Remove any standing water and seal any gaps in your floors, walls, and foundation.

  • Cleaning up your yard. Keep shrubbery and branches well-trimmed and away from your home. Remove fallen leaves and other debris.

  • Be smart with storage. If you use firewood, store it away from the home (at least 20 feet away if possible) and off of the ground.
