I chose TIP based on Angie's list's recommendations. Mike was ver knowledgable and showed me lots of things about the house during the inspection.

Not only did TIP give me an appointment within 24 hours, I had a Iicensed Inspector at the home I was interested in within another 24 hours, 2 day turn around, no kidding. Jerry Arnold Professional Home Inspector arrived on time. Jerry went straight to business, was very intensive in his examination. He took his time, I could tell his focus on detail was his main concern, with inspecting the property. He communicated all of his concerns to me as the buyer, which I appreciated greatly. I will recommend Jerry Arnold and Tip Home Services to anyone, anytime.

This is my second home purchase, first home inspector service I used I did not have angieslist at the time and I highly regret picking a random one off google. TIP home inspection was great, my inspector's name was David Moore. He was very professional, thorough, informative and friendly. I asked him the strangest questions regarding the home and he answered it very politely and did not make me feel bad about any other concerns I had with the home. David went through all corners of the home, including the roof, which is a huge concern for me in Houston and the majority of the home inspection turned out great. He also went through my sprinkler system and educated me on how to use it and how to winterize. David also shared his contact information with me just in case I had any future concerns or questions, which I already did and he responded very promptly! Thank you David and TIP! for giving me a peace of mind with my new home purchase and saving me some extra $$$ when it came time to negotiate for repairs!! Would highly recommend and use again if need arises.

The website was great for scheduling. You can pick your inspector or do first available. David came out to our house for our 1 year home warranty inspection. He was very professional and knowledgable. He walked me through every corner of my house and provided detailed descriptions of things that needed work and even things that were done properly. He found problems with my house that I would have never noticed that would have cost me hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars a few years down the road. I would highly recommend TIP and ask for David!

We found this company on Angie's list and decided to schedule our pre-sale home inspection through them due to the strong reviews. We arranged our inspection date online and pre-paid, and Mike arrived promptly at the scheduled time to perform the inspection. We walked through the house with him as he performed the inspection, and he took the time during each portion to explain what he was looking for, what he did or did not find, and provide recommendations for any issues found. He even gave us guidance on whether we could fix certain issues ourselves or whether he would recommend calling a contractor. He was very thorough in going through the home, attic and even on the roof, and assembled a comprehensive report (pdf format) with pictures that he emailed to us the next day. He was very patient throughout the process, which altogether took just over 3 hours. We would recommend Mike to anyone who needs a thorough home inspection.

Scheduling an inspection was always easy and stress free. The inspector was always on time and professional. The reports were always promptly received and articulated issues in plain language which the builder was able to easily understand and identify. Pre-Foundation Pour Inspection: TIPs saved the day!!! A previous inspector (not with TIPs) refused to sign the builder's legal agreements at the last minute which left us scrambling for an inspector the day before the foundation was scheduled to be poured. Found TIPs on Angie's List and called them, they had someone on site later that day and a report to me in time for the builder to make corrections. Pre-Sheetrock Inspection: Photos and plain language enabled the builder the find the problems. The inspector was more than willing to answer any and all of my questions as well as explain the building codes that governed the different aspects of the construction. Final Inspection: The inspector found many issues with the building and pointed out the major items that I should be on the look out for. Again the plain the language in the report made it easy to keep track of. TIPs is very easy to work with and professional through and through. THANK YOU!!!

They were prompt and quite thorough, and everything is automated online or by e-mail. I would have preferred the commentary/details in the report to have been more detailed, but they did a good job nonetheless.

David was very through, professional and punctual. We were welcome to accompany him during the inspection. After he finished the inspection, he reviewed his findings with my husband and explained the issues. A detailed report with pictures was emailed to us that evening and at the end of the report was a summary of pertinent findings/information which we found to be very helpful. David encouraged us to contact him if we need additional support or information. Mandy was very helpful with the registration and scheduling of inspection. TIP is a first class company and comes highly recommend!!!

Mike with Texas Inspection Partners provided a complete TREC inspection and also a pool/spa/sprinkler inspection. Mike was on time, very professional and very thorough in the job he performed for us. TIP also performed a termite inspection that was conducted by Scot, who was also very professional and excellent in the services he provided. During Mike's inspection, not only did he point out any issues of concerns about the home, but pointed out so many useful things about the operational aspects of the home that were certainly useful to us as potential owners of the home. Both Mike and Scot were also so very personable and polite, both qualities that are so appreciated and unfortunately, not always seen in service oriented businesses. My husband and I will highly recommend TIP services and especially the quality of service provided by the two individuals that we had the privilege to meet.

David was on time, professional, very knowledgeable, thorough, and went the extra mile to address my concerns. It was a great experience and I will be using TIP Home Services again in the future.

Super easy to book an appointment and great follow up. Because I was out of town they worked with my realtor to confirm what was needed. As luck would have it, my flight was delayed an hour and i missed the inspector. I called the office and they contacted Dave who came back to review my report. I was impressed with the easy to understand and comprehensive explanation given to me. My realtor, who has sat in on many inspections, was also impressed!

They made comments on what basics of what was wrong, but we had another inspector come in after them who found twice as many issues.

I am purchasing a home and TIP did the inspection. Glenn Wharton conducted the inspection. He was very professional and thorough. He sat down with me after the inspection and walked through everything he found one by one. He explained anything I didn't understand and gave me a lot of practical advice. I would definitely use them again. I think they were a great value for the price.

We really trusted them for the inspection and they did an amazing job - super thorough and explained everything with clarity. Of course we wanted a 100% clean report, but we were glad to hear about any possible issues and what we should do to fix them. After purchasing the house, we hired them again for quarterly pest control and it has been great. The house was vacant when we moved in and there were some spiders and roaches to take care of. Since we had our first service we have had NO bug issues at all. David who did the service was really nice to work with. I highly recommend them and believe they offer a quality service at a price well worth paying.

It went better than i ever expected. After rescheduling my appointment 3 times since my closing on the house was changing they 1st were very understanding and kind. When we FINALLY had the green light on purchasing our house I was able to schedule an inspection with Glenn Wharton. Glenn took his time and paid very close attention to every detail of my house. On top of that he gave me advice on how to keep our house insect free as well as energy efficient. He was VERY thorough and took pictures of each and every detail he found somewhat questionable. He also made sure the house was up to Harris County Code even though the house is in Montgomery County which tends to be more lenient. He also told me "if you have any future questions give me a call, advice is free." Then a few hours later as he promised I received an email of all his findings with pictures and under each picture he listed the issues and recommendations. I also got a follow up call and email in the following weeks. Texas Home Inspection were very professional from Mandy; who kept rescheduling my appointment, to Glenn; who was AWESOME. I would reccomend them and use them again if I were ever to buy another house.

I was very pleased with the inspection. There were renters in the house and they were present. It did not hinder the inspection, however, they had so much in the attic and other places that it prevented as thorough an inspection ( no fault of the inspector) that could have been. He (inspector) answered my questions and concerns and was very professional. My concern was any structural issues which he addressed to my satisfaction. I was very pleasantly surprised how quickly the report was sent to me. There were details of the things that were deficient with colored pictures. I would recommend this company.

Their operation is stellar. You are able to schedule and pay online and download a PDF report within hours after the inspection. If only everything ran so smoothly. The inspector, Jerry Arnold was very thorough and answered all of our questions on the walk through. We were very happy with their work.

They always find everything that can possibly be wrong with the homes. Since many of the homes I sell are more than 30 years old, my clients want that type of thoroughness.

They were very prompt, however the inspectors missed an infestation of bees. The biggest problem was that Jerry Arnold completely missed apparent slab problems. The report was marked settling movement was seen, but foundation was supporting structure. After being the I our home 5 months we have seen movement. We just had a structural engineer review the house, and we must have piers & pilings installed at a cost of 10K. We had passed on 2 other houses with foundation issues. If they had just marked the report there was structural movement & recommend an inspection by an engineer we would have not purchased this house. The structural engineer reviewed the report & felt there telltale signs of movement such as doors not staying closed & gap in the breezeway to the garage. The report has completely useless.

We had such a good experience with Dave at our last inspection that we had to use him again. I had explained what we were looking for and why, so he had an idea what our concerns were during the inspection. Once again, Dave arrived early and got right to work. While this was a larger house, it took less time for the inspection. It was in better condition then the last one we looked at, according to Dave. Once again, he explained what he found and his thoughts and concerns whether good or bad. Also, for this inspection I scheduled it using the website. Due to some strange error the system created a new account for me. Both Glenn, Mandy and Bryan were all there to assist and get it straightened out. I would definitely use this company again.

Dave arrived about the same time we did. .. early. He answered all of our questions, showed us what he was finding, and explained everything so we could understand it. Without his thorough inspection we would have bought a house we didn't have the time to fix up.

Called them and asked about my need to inspect a 400 sq. ft patio. Gave their base line rate for a new home, and added that it was expensive, because it was for the entire house. Also went out of their way to check on what the requirements might be for getting an inspection to meet the city's requirements. Would highly recommend and will use them for any future needs.

Mike Elmore came out and did a very thorough inspection giving me tips all the while on how to best maintain the house. He also saved us more than the $400 investment in his presence by finding items that had not been completed to code (the supervisor was fired in the middle of building our home) which were covered under warranty for another few weeks. He also pointed out potential problems and what to look for and monitor so we could intervene early before any major damage occurred if necessary. Not only did Mike know his job, he was very personable and answered questions I had after his visit giving me tips on how to keep the builder from evading doing the repairs. Worth every penny!

great service with a timely report that was through and very insightful

Ordered an inspection online. It only gave me an option for one time, so I took it, but our realtor wanted a quicker one, so the next day they called me and said they have access to other appointment times. Anyways, in the future when i use them, I will call their office instead of booking online, because she can tell me all of their available appointment times and they can also approve your Angie's list coupon, which you couldn't do online. Jerry Arnold was our inspector. He was extremely nice and professional. He let me follow him around the entire 3 hours he was there and answered all my questions, even though I probably got on his nerves. :) :) There were some red flags that caught his attention concerning the foundation. He recommended a structural engineer, which we did follow his advice. Unfortunately we did not go through with that house, based on the evidence found by the structural engineer. David Moore came about 90 minutes later to inspect the house for termites. He was also really nice and professional and answered any of my questions. I would recommend either one of those guys or probably any body else on their roster.
