New GE washer I purchased in early December 2012. Shocks on the tub break in late January. I called for service Jan. 28. Rosa tells me the next available date is Feb. 4 but she will try to get me in sooner and will call to confirm. She didn't call. I called again Jan 30 and I'm told again the date is Feb 4 and the technician will call me "early in the morning" to give me the time frame for the appointment. I called at 8:30 Feb 4 and I'm told the technician will call me "between 8:00 - 10:30" Really -- the repair trucks don't leave until then!?! I call the general corporate office to complain. They put me on hold and tell me they talked to the Dallas repair center and the technician will call "immediately." I waited over an hour and called the corporate number again. They again call the Dallas repair center and get the same answer. Finally after 11:00 Larry (the technician) calls to tell me he will be there "between noon and 2:00." He shows up at 2:15, spends 5 minutes looking at the maching and tells me "the shocks are broke, I'll need to order parts." If he had read my complaint, that is what I told them in the first phone call. Feb 7 the parts are not in. Jeff at the Dallas Service Center says the parts are expected Feb 12, more than two weeks after my first phone call. I complained to the corporate office and two store managers but still no satisfactory response. I think they should replace my washer, not rebuild it. Waiting more than two weeks for repairs on a machine that is not 60 days old is unacceptable.
