Bloomin Blinds is a family business. Karen (Mom) began the company in 2001 and within months her 3 sons joined Bloomin' Blinds. With the addition of 7 amazing staff members, we do our best to keep up! While we are one of the largest volume blind/shutter retailers in DFW, you will still feel like you are part of the family as we work together.

"One of the many projects we’ve had on our list was to upgrade the front of our house by replacing our old curtains with shutters. We had used Bloomin Blinds on several occasions for repairs, but had never bought any products from them. Becca and her team did exactly what they said they would from the outset, suggesting the appropriate width and color for the shutters. The dimensions were measured on two occasions, resulting in three shutter units that are exact fits for our window units. The shutters look great inside and out; our only regret with this process is that we didn’t let Bloomin Blinds tackle the project sooner."

Blind Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You should replace your blinds every six to eight years, depending on the level of wear and tear and material of your blinds. Blinds that are warped or bent become difficult to open and close and usually harder to repair than they are to replace. Old blinds with frayed or exposed cords can also pose a safety hazard if young children are around.

Yes, many professionals offer ultrasonic cleaning for thorough, chemical-free results.

Your schedule for deep cleaning will depend on how often you clean regularly and how dirty your home gets. If you clean weekly and keep things tidy, you may only need to deep clean once a year. But if you don’t keep up with regular cleaning or have pets that drag in mud and shed all over the house, you might need deep cleaning two or three times a year.

In general, shades and blinds are the most common window coverings used today because they create unobtrusive, sleek profiles that fit into any space. In addition, blinds and shades are extremely easy to use. Most operate using either a pull system or wand. While most blinds and shades sold by retailers are available in a wide range of sizes that are made to fit standard windows, customers can also order custom shades and blinds for windows that are hard to fit.

DIY cleaning is possible but may not remove deep dust, stains, or allergens as effectively as professional methods.
