Excellent. They had the best pricing.
Came when promised.
Measured exactly so I can still remove my new window sashes by tilting inward. this is a big deal as 1/2" can make a difference.
They gave me a date that the shutters would ship and called for an install time.
Installer called and arrived 30 min. early so they finished a bit earlier too.
Shutters are level and square. All 23 windows are perfect. All holes filled.
Left the area clean.

My initial review is accurate with exception of a typo on the price. It is correct. They were $5,000. In response to the total of the blinds in question that were malfunctioning; the cost is irrelevant. Whether it had been 2 blinds or 22 the service should be the same.
Moved into our home in August and blinds were installed
several weeks after. In January when
cleaning windows (we have 29 windows)we realized that the blinds will not go
up/down smoothly and it takes a "significant" amount of time to get
them all the way down. I reached out to
the company and was told: "Our
sales contract states on the bottom that we have a 3 month in home service
warranty after that service charge applies. II normally wouldn?t have charged
for a service call, but Argyle is an hour drive for me and haven?t had a job
there since I did yours. I just looked at your sales contract and I wrote 1
year in home service warranty for you since you had shutters so I will not
charge you for a service call."
I do not see that it is our issue nor should it even be
mentioned that we would be charged a service fee because Mr. Weidberg would
have to drive further (to a job he agreed to do) and us have to pay a service
fee after spending $9,000 to have blinds work the way they should from the
beginning.
If that were the case then the gentleman they sent to
install the blinds should have gone with us window-by-window to insure they all
worked properly.
We were also told that he has "sold thousands of blinds
from this manufacture of the past 10 years and I have never had issues with
their quality. They are the largest supplier of faux wood blinds in the
country. The blinds we ordered have won awards for design and performance.Here

He then implied that both my husband and I must not be doing
it correctly. And if the blinds were
made with a defect of some sort the manufacture will stand behind them. They do
not pay for the labor to take them down and put them back up, but they do stand
behind their product. I also have a
excellent blind repair man that might be able to help me figure out the issue.
More than likely the cords are just getting tangled.
So.... they want a service fee to see what is wrong. Then if it's a manufacturer defect then they
will stand behind it but "we" will need to pay to have them taken
down and put back up and last but not least if that fails then "we"
can hire his repair man and pay even more for BRAND NEW BLINDS THAT SHOULD HAVE
WORKED PROPERLY FROM DAY ONE!!.
We have had several friends remodel and build and love the
"look" of our blinds but unfortunately, I have had to inform them
that we do not recommend they do business with Sids Best regardless of the
quality.
We are more than disappointed that we would spend so much
money to make such an important feature in our new home look nice. Then have to be continuously aggravated when
we want to put our blinds up/down and reminded of the

We stand behind our products and this is why we have a near perfect rating on Angie's list and BBB. We have tried to contact the customer several times since the problem was brought to our attention. We have emailed customer several times to schedule an appointment but never received a response. Our last email to customer was on Jan 26 2015. Here is a copy of our last email word for word. I can come out to look this week if you are available? If the blinds were made with a defect of some sort the manufacture will stand behind them. You certainly can't beat his prices and the quality (from what we have been able to see so far) is just as wonderful as the quality from a different company we used at our last home that was much more expensive and not near as friendly.
