"They were very good they clean very well as a pair. And did exactly what they said they were going to do which was very nice. The older of the Pair really is good at dusting everything and cleaning your window blinds beautifully. there was only one thing I didn’t like and that is the stuff they used to wash the floors. It seems to stay or feel wet or humid or something anyway but the floors were very clean. My hardwood floors I had them use the formula I use and they look wonderful. They are very good and very very accommodating."

Blind Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Due to safety concerns, corded blinds and shades are banned in the United States. Recently, industry-wide government regulations were passed to outlaw cords based on the risk of strangulation for children. You can still get cordless blinds and shades or ones with inaccessible cords, but you can no longer buy traditional corded blinds.

Costs depend on blind type, cleaning method, labor, and additional stain treatments.

Although it’s essential to clean your blinds every month or two as a best practice for keeping them dirt and dust-free, professional blind cleaning is often a more practical way to go. One significant benefit to having your blinds cleaned professionally is the overall saved time, as cleaning them yourself can be time-consuming. Other benefits include:

  • Ensuring that dirt and dust, which can cause health issues in those with sensitivities, are fully removed

  • Increasing the life expectancy of your current blinds to save money on replacements

  • Ensuring that your blinds are cleaned thoroughly and correctly, as blinds can be complex

You should replace your blinds every six to eight years, depending on the level of wear and tear and material of your blinds. Blinds that are warped or bent become difficult to open and close and usually harder to repair than they are to replace. Old blinds with frayed or exposed cords can also pose a safety hazard if young children are around.

Having dust in your home doesn’t automatically make your house unhealthy, but it can contribute to allergies and other respiratory issues. Dust is a mix of tiny particles that include dirt, dead skin cells, dust mite body parts and droppings, animal dander, and pollen, so breathing in excessive amounts isn’t good for your health. Dust accumulation can also accumulate in fabrics, mattresses, and rugs, as well as harm electronic devices if it builds up inside the system.
