"Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."

The HOA ultimately denied the project multiple times, yet the company refused to honor its own contract, which requires a refund when approval cannot be obtained. Management attempted to justify keeping a large portion of the payment using misleading contract interpretations and demanded a signed legal release before issuing even a partial refund. The experience was deeply disappointing, stressful, and showed little regard for fair dealing or consumer protection. Anyone working with this company should insist on written confirmation of all representations and never make payment before full HOA or permit approval."
