The pool care was ad\equate, but the pool did turn green while under their care - which was subsequently corrected. There was also the matter of being paid for matters which were not performed, however the unearned portion was repaid with only small discord.

Dallas responded to our initial quest for service very promptly. After our previous weekly pool service provider discontinued service in early May, our pool was quickly turning into an algae pond. Dallas came out to assess the situation very soon after our initial call and shortly thereafter he was back at our home making the recommended repairs to our pool filter and pool sweep, performing normal spring maintenance on the equipment, and setting us up on a regular schedule for weekly pool cleaning and maintenance with his crew. We were very pleased to have our pool ready for use before the TX heat set in and before our Memorial Day pool party. We contacted Dallas again in July for additional non-routine assistance with our pool. We needed the light in our pool repaired in preparation for an evening pool party that we were hosting in a few days. Dallas fit us into his schedule, coming out to our pool the next day. He determined that it was just that the light bulb that needed to be replaced and he had it fixed that same day. We can't say enough about the quality and professionalism that Dallas and his crew display whether it's to assist us in a special circumstance or doing the routine weekly service on our pool. D's Pool Service has been cleaning our pool since June 2011. They do a great job of keeping our pool clean and informing us of any issues they notice when they do our service. If something is in need of repair, they let us know what and if they can repair it. They replaced the tires in a timely manner and cheaper than we could do it ourselves. In the past they have acually taken the pool sweep, repaired it and returned it the same day. They are honest, which seems hard to come by these days.

We returned home from vacation to find our main pool pump was on but not circulating water. It was very hot and emitting a low hum. I turned the power off to it and the cleaner booster pump. After the main pump cooled down I turned it on and the main pump and it just emitted a very loud hum. The cleaner pump also did not start. I assumed both pumps had run without water for days and were siezed up. I called D's pool service because of reviews here on Angie's list. Dallas returned my call the same day. We discussed the worse case scenario of having to replace both pumps and the potential cost of approximately $1000. Dallas said he coul be at our house the next day. Dallas came out the next day and he immediately diagnosed the main pump problem as a capacitor gone bad. He had the new part with him and the repair was made to the main pump. The booster p[ump also turned on and Dallas checked for leaks that could indicate further damage and there were no leaks or additional damage. He knocked on our door and said the repair will be $140 and it was done already! We were totally shocked as we expected at least one if not both of the pumps would have to be replaced. Great service and repair work from a great company! Thank you Dallas! We will use again in the future for any of our pool repairs.

They discovered that there was another problem. They replaced the capacitor and saved me quite a bit of money. I was very glad!

It went really well. He is an off duty police officer. He is very thorough and did a great job. I asked him questions about the system and he explained the benefits of using the system.

We bought a house with a pool and as first time pool owners, we didn't know much about pool care. Our pool started to turn kind of green. I called Dallas and he came out that day within an hour to look at our pool. He gave us some suggestions and added a few chemicals at no charge! We plan to do pool school with him soon.

As new pool owners we needed information about the pool that was already installed at the house we just purchased so we called to be trained in pool care.He kept us up to date with his schedule so that we knew just when he would come.He patiently taught us many things about our new pool and its care.There were a few things that needed to be fixed but he did not insist that his company needed to repair them. He offered options and actually showed us ways to take care of some things ourselves.I will highly recommend D's Pool Service to all of my friends with pools. :)

He is wonderful. He is always on time and does everything he says he is going to do. He is a young guy and does a great job. He used to be a policeman, and is very dependable is a very, very nice person. We like him a lot.

I called D's and Dallas the owner answered the phone, gave me a estimate and scheduled my service for the next day. He arrived on time, was very professional, answered all my questions and most of all fixed my skimmer. I will use D's Pool Service now for all my pool equipment problems.

Dallas Dodson owner of D's pool service is the most professional service professional we have ever dealt with. From first contact via phone, to his arrival was first class. When I first contacted him and explained the problem, he suggested that I take a picture with my phone and text to him so he would have the proper piping on his truck. When he arrived, on time I might add, he was totally prepared for the job and it was fixed in record time. He has a great attitude and as already stated, he is very professional. After two weeks his repair job is working wonderfully and we will use D's pool service for any needed repairs in the future. I have to add that his services very fairly priced too. Prompt, informed constantly about progress and what to expect.

I am very impressed with the service this company provides. Along with keeping our pool crystal clear they also do repairs. Our polaris pool cleaner had a wheel malfunction. The pool service observed it, removed it for repair and had it back in the pool the same day! This service is punctual down to our first visit with the owner, who showed up early for our appointment and gave us his honest opinion regarding our pool situation. Would refer anyone to this service.

Dallas was very knowledgable about what needed to be done. He suggested that we might want to call the home owners insurance to see if they would cover the the equipment. We chose to go with Dallas. He also gave us good advice on what we would need to do to keep the pool up to par. This is the first time we have owned a pool and he has made the transition very smooth

I called D's Pool Service and was able to schedule an appt for the next day to get an estimate for weekly pool service. I was able to meet with him the next day. He laid out his services, gave me an estimate, explained all services his company would perform, and we signed a contract for his weekly service. I was very impressed with his presentation and have already seen their services performed. I would recommend their services to any one looking for a pool service. I immediately cancelled my other service and it was a good decision to hire D's Pool Service.

We called D's on Thursday evening, he came out on Friday. The problem was quickly fixed for what we thought a very reasonal price. He also allowed us our Angie's List discount, which is greatly appreciated. Dallas Dodson is very personable and knowlegable in his business. We now have used his services several times and will again.

Dallas got the job done faster than I expected and everything went as promised. No surprises. He did some extraordinary work on my equipment repairs since the original pool builder crammed all the equipment together. He was in constant contact with me during the process. I have recommended him to my sons for their pool work.

We were having a difficult time balancing the chemicals in our pool...Dallas came out and assessed that we needed to drain the pool, clean the filter, acid wash the pool, and start from scratch with the chemicals...We had alot of black algae throughout the pool which we would have never been able to remedy on our own...Our pool is an older pool which needs to be replastered...Dallas was very thorough in explaining that the reason we were having such a difficult time with the black algae was that our pool had many chips in the plaster which are very susceptible to the growth of black algae...Dallas was very honest to say that the work we were doing was only a temporary fix until we were ready to replaster the pool...I always appreciate a contractor that is upfront with me even if it is not what I wanted to hear...I was very pleased with the work Dallas and his crew did to our pool...I plan on using D's Pools in the future when we replaster and tile.

It was easy to set up the appointment and they called the day before to confirm and the day of before arriving. The service was quick and efficient; they were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Replaced pool pump, pump motor, replumbed pump and trouble shot electrical problem. Electrician needed for electrical as indicated by Dallas. Dallas made follow up call to make sure electrical problems were resolved and pump operating correctly. Overall very good experience. Will use for all pool issues in the future.
