ingMy first experience with DT McCalls goes back to 1990 when I purchased a Davis Cabinet bedroom suite (Lillian Russell) which cost me around $2800. I thought I was investing in heirloom furniture. Well, about 3 years ago a handle broke off my lingerie chest and I went down to Davis Cabinet Company in Nashville to see about getting a replacement. It turns out that the bedroom suite I bought was not an actual Davis Cabinet manufactured product. It was a knock off. The handle was made of injection molded plastic, not cherry wood. The manager at the factory told me that in the early 90's a company had gotten hold of their furniture patterns and were making fakes. All Davis Cabinet furniture is marked or labeled. What I bought had no manufacturers marks. DT McCalls sold me this suite as Davis Cabinet when in fact it was not. After 20 years, what recourse did I have? None. However, I let bygones be bygones and I purchased two lazy boy recliners 2011 because they gave me such a good deal. Within a year the gear mechanisms had almost completely quite working and they would only stay in certain reclining positions. I didn't even bother contacting the store because at this time my mother was hassling with them over appliances she had bought from them that had quite working in less than a year. In fact, she just got her refrigerator back that had quite working. While her fridge was being repaired, they brought her a loaner refrigerator that didn't work when she plugged it in. They then brought her yet another loaner which smelled like it had been used to store dead bodies in. She finally got her original back but has decided that after decades of doing business with them she will not buy from them anymore either.

They delivered the dishwasher, left,it has now gone bad after less than 2 months,so,here we are. They should have offered to bring another one.You should not have to worry after you make such a major purchase!! They do not stand behind what they sell!! They expect you to lose. I even offered to pay more for another one!!
Description of Work: New dishwasher delivered around November 17th.Today is Jan.17th.I called to let them know there are issues with this dishwasher,& they told me,its a service issue, imagine, you just bought a brand new appliance less than 2 months ago,and it already goes bad,& their answer is,its a service issue and,if we got a different one,we would suffer a loss!! How bad is that!? I mean,we work hard for what we have, and I can tell you,you do not buy a major appliance, only to have it go bad in 2 months, and then be told, you can only get another one by losing your money on the one you just got!! Anybody see the problem? They are sending a service rep out Tuesday.I should not have to have service on something less than 2 months in my house, right? I hope when I buy a new car,it isnt in the shop for service in 2 months, right,uh?!!
