"Hate leaving bad reviews, haven't left one in a long time. I took my truck to this guy to tint my windows and this is the worst window tint job I have ever seen. He had a 5 star google rating but I now believe the reviews are all from people that he knows, especially considering that most of those who left a review only have 1 review on their accounts. There are bubbles and tiny particles all over my windows. My passenger side window is now sticking when rolling it down. I've taken it to him 3 times now and he still hasn't gotten it right. First time was for him to do the tint job. Second time was for him to fix the crooked sunstrip he put on the truck and to remove some of the big bubbles that were in my windows which he did not do. Third time was for him to redo the whole truck. My tint is now not sticking on the back windows and sliding rear window. Terrible job. I asked for my money back before he redone the tint job and he said he didn't give money back and that he makes it right. I even told him just to strip it and keep the money. That was the least he could have done. He would not. However, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and let him complete the redo. I sat there for 5 hours. It is still terrible. Not to mention he left window tint clippings all over my truck and got dirt from his shoes all over the inside of my truck the first time around and didn't bother to clean it out. He also let the water he sprayed on the tint go all over my door panels and dash. He wasn't even there when I went to pick the truck up the first time as well. When I was watching him complete the redo, I never got an apology from him for screwing it up the first time, just snide remarks like that he could use baby wash instead of the other soap he used in the water( making fun of me for addressing my concerns about my door panels/speakers). He also left in the middle of the redo to take another car back to a customer and left me sitting there for 30 minutes. He now has my hard earned $139.00 in his pocket and I'm left with crappy tint that I'm going to have to pay someone else to take it off and tint it again. Also he doesn't take a credit/debit card even though he has it on his door that he does. When I went to pick it up the first time, Chris had done left and I was told cash only by his dad. The next day Chris said he would have to charge me tax if he wrote out a receipt. Wonder how the IRS feels about that? I called him again on 5-4-20 and asked him for my money back and for him to remove the tint so he doesn't think I'm wanting something for free. He again refused a refund and said I was being hard to get along with. Said he would fix it like before. He's had 3 attempts and failed each time and I have pictures to show it. It's been 3 weeks and I still have bubbles in my windows! He should make this right by giving me back my money. My time is valuable. Chris, you want this review taken down? Then give me back my hard earned $139.00. I'm out more than you. I'll have to pay someone to remove your tint. To whoever is reading this, spare yourself the trouble of taking a vehicle here for window tint and go to another tint shop in Greeneville or drive to Johnson City or Morristown. This guy is apart of the good ole boy system, not at all customer service oriented. He doesn't care to take your money only to give you subpar work in return."

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

Some frosted glass sprays can handle the outdoors, but most of them aren't built for it. Sprays made for exterior use will say so clearly on the label. Anything marked “interior use only” can't hold up against rain, UV exposure, or changing temperatures without peeling, fading, or yellowing. Outdoor-rated sprays are typically more durable, but even then, proper prep and application matter. Before spraying anything outside, double-check the product instructions. If it doesn’t specifically mention exterior use, skip it.

Home window tinting costs around $600 on average, and most homeowners pay between $150 and $1,600 for the service, depending on a few different factors. The number of windows you want tinted and the size of those windows are the most significant cost factors, as each window and each additional square foot of tint will add to your total. The quality of the tint itself is another important cost factor to consider, as additional coatings like low-emissivity (low-E) treatment will increase the cost of the materials.

A common way to modernize arched windows is to install interior window treatments that allow light through the curved portion up to and let you cover the bottom portion for privacy. You can also install plantation shutters to make an arched window look more modern. From the exterior, arched windows can appear outdated if they’re coupled with ornate trim, so toning down the decor can make your window look more natural with a modern design.

The ideal thickness of window film depends on various factors and specific needs. Thicker films generally offer increased durability and enhanced security benefits. They are also typically more effective at reducing heat and blocking UV rays. However, thinner options may be preferable for some applications, such as decorative or privacy films. Thinner films are easier to apply and provide adequate privacy without compromising visibility. Ultimately, the best thickness of window film will depend on your specific requirements, desired benefits, and the recommendations of professional installers.

Whether window film is better depends on individual preferences and specific needs. In some instances, window film can be much less costly to install. Aesthetics is also a deciding factor. Window film may have a more significant appeal for design minimalists looking for a clean and streamlined look without the heaviness that comes with curtains. On the flip side, they can also appeal to design maximalists looking for creative expression in the form of color, patterns, and texture. Choosing between window film and traditional window coverings depends on factors like desired functionality, aesthetics, and personal preferences.
