They are awesome. They are very prompt. They tell you right upfront what the charge is going to be. They are responsive. They are very reliable. They tell you what the hourly charge is going to be. Actually, he could have fixed the problem in less than an hour, but I thought that I am purchasing him for an hour so I will have him do a little extra wiring outside, use up my hour. I mean, they serve as well. If there's a problem they fix it. They are very consciences about fixing it right, not just to put a band-aid on it so you would have problems later. They are very, very good. If I ever need anything electric, I wouldn't even think about anybody else, I would just call them right on.

First visit was to inspect fuse box because two appliances died the same day. I was told they could turn it into a breaker box for not too much money. But they never gave me an estimate. I was pleased with the replacement of the kitchen light and their solution to put a solar box on my storage unit which powers the lights under the carport which come on at dark.

They knew exactly what they were doing, they were pleasant, they were quick, they had all their stuff and they were really good. They were excellent, they were punctual and everything about them was good.

We were in a time crunch as our house is on the market and the bathroom outlets were not working properly. The electrician came out on time and repaired the GFC breaker which resolved the outlet issues. He also looked at a bathroom fan to see if he could fix it or if the motor was just burnt out. We were out of town and they met my parents at the house, they were in and out in an hour. We would definitely hire them again.

Contacted Pat Murphy Electric (PME) on June 24th to find out about availability, as the electrician I had used in the past had a 2 week backlog; and I am trying to get a house on the market to time is of the essence. I was told that someone would be out between 9-noon on the 25th. Well at 8:08am on the 25th I received a call and by 8:20 Mike was at the property. When I had spoken with the lady in the office, I had stated I just wanted a quote, as there were actually 3 people scheduled to come bid the work. However, Mike started worked on the problem and since he felt he could fix it quickly, I just let him continue working. So, my advice here is they may tell you they have a 29 dollar quote fee, but when you have a problem as opposed to an standard install, quotes are hard to give and most places don't (No just PME, but all electricians seem to be this way). I was prepared for a complete worse case scenario of having bad wiring all over the basement and it needing to be redone. I was SO wrong and thankful that Mike was who they sent out. He really knew his stuff. Found the issue and had it fixed in 2 hours at a very reasonable price. I had planned a massive project with a huge budget. Instead I have a completely fixed basement for $117.00. I would recommend PME and will use them again for any electrical issues.

Keith from Pat Murphy Electric replaced the receptacles and fixed the system so it should not be affected by water in the future. He was pleasant to deal with and did an excellent job. I will definitely call this company for my electrical needs in the future.

The foreman let me ask questions. He checked other things and went above and beyond what I expected. Initially they thought they had the issue fixed and it was not. They came out the second time and fixed it for free.

The electricians were on time, worked efficiently, cleaned up any mess resulting from their work. They confirmed exactly what we wanted before beginning the work, and made appropriate suggestions for achieving our desired results.

I wanted to have some lights on a deck we had installed last summer so I started looking at Angie's list for an electrician. Kevin came out and was very professional and friendly. He talked with my husband and I and we devised a plan for all that we wanted done. He said he would get the estimate to me the following week which he did. We communicated by email as that was my preference. We agreed to the estimate and to have the work done. Lights had to be ordered before they came out. During that time, I received several emails from Kevin outlining progress. I really appreciated that as commuinication is something I am a stickler for. I don't care if the job is delayed or there is a problem as long as I am kept informed and I was. Today, Keith & David came and completed all of the work. They were both friendly & professional and completed the work in a more than timely manner. I had expected the work to take all day & part of tomorrow. They were finished around 2 pm. They didn't even mind my barking dogs being outside with them which I appreciated. I am very happy with the whole process and am keeping their information for the next time we need electrical services. Thanks for a job well done!!

We are finishing out part of our basement as a den, bedroom, and bath. Robert from Pat Murphy Electric promptly came out, looked at the work we needed done, gave us his professional suggestions, and prepared a reasonable estimate. They worked with our schedule (since their work had to be scheduled in phases after other trades completed their work). Their electricians performed their work properly, professionally, and timely. We did not have to monitor their work as it was being done nor check it after it was completed. I would like to add that of all the trades that we hired, this company was the best. Everything went smoothly and flawlessly. I can recommend them without any reservations and will definitely hire them again for any electrical work that we need done in the future. In my experience these days, a lot of companies can perform their work in an efficient manner but lack good customer service while working with their customers. This is definitely not the case with this company. They obviously believe that good customer service is part of their job too. They are the real deal! Thank you Pat Murphy Electric for a job well done. Also, please give your electrician, David, a pat on the back from us!

The construction of the pool went very well.

Installation was completed on the promised date. Except for a gap left in the dry wall the job looks fine.

Pat Murphy responded very quickly to my call and came out that day to check my circuit box to find out why my circuit kept tripping and shutting power off to my kids rooms. Luckily it was a quick easy fix and all I had to pay was a service charge fee.

I am most impressed with the fact that I wasn't taken advantage of. Usually, a problem happens with the house, we call a contractor, but because we're managing from out of town, the contractor thinks it's an opportunity to take advantage of us. So, I was expecting to hear that the entire box needed to be replaced or, worse, the whole house needed to be rewired, etc.. So, I was really pleasantly surprised. My only complaint was that the technician was suppose to call me before completing the repair, but I think he didn't call because he knew it was going to be an easy fix once he found the location. The cost was primarily for the two hours of labor it took, which was made difficult because the powerless room is separated from the house by the back porch. Long, long stretch of wire from there to the fuse box in the garage. I felt that it was a fair price considering.

They did an excellent job. They estimated the job would take 6 to 8 hours to complete, and they finished it in 5 hours. This was important because we were completely without power during the job. Very professional.

We got a call late Friday night informing us that the external electrical box on our rental property had caught on fire. We were fortunate in that it was contained in the electrical box but the electricity had been cut to the property. I was able to contact Mr. Echols from Pat Murphy Electric on Saturday morning and we scheduled an appointment for Monday. Mr. Echols was on time and very professional. Due to the forecast of bad weather we needed to work quickly to get the power working. Mr. Echols immediately started contacting the electrical inspector to begin the process. He was able to get the electrical worked finished on Thursday as promised and kept us informed of progress of the work on a daily basis. Mr. Echols was as concerned as we were to get power back on and we felt that he treated us the way he would have wanted to be treated. It has been a long time since we have had such a positive experience with a contractor. Mr. Echols and his company truly understand the concept of customer service. These guys are great!!!!

I had been having issues with random things in the house not working, like switches, a fan in a bathroom, an outside light, and a 3-way kitchen light that had 2 switches, which only worked intermittently. I called and was told they could have someone out that very day! I went home for lunch to meet the tech who arrived right on time, as he had called to give me advance notice. Very courteous, and the tech got right to work. Replaced 5 switches for me, and adjusted my outdoor light that just had an out of line socket--that hadn't worked in 2 years! Once he was done, every single thing worked perfectly! Took him an hour, and we'd had these issues for way too long. He was quick, accommodating, and not condescending (as a woman, I appreciate this.) He also priced out changing our fuse box to a breaker box (which was way cheaper than what I'd been quoted before) and also 2 outdoor lights that I think I might replace. Everything was reasonable. He had good suggestions for replacing other switches and outlets that I asked him about, and I will absolutely use them for every electrical need that I have in the future.

Perfect - no issues - on time, did what we wanted nice friendly

The technician made one visit and searched inside for causes of the interior lights flickering. Then he looked at the breaker box which is outdoors and saw that it had quite a bit of corrosion. He made an estimate, which we accepted. He returned on the designated day and replaced the box. He also corrected some errors he found in the way the circuits were set up in the old box. Obviously I'm not qualified to evaluate the technical aspects of the work, but my impression was that he was a careful and knowlegeable worker.

Power went out in kitchen and garage - was not the breaker. I called Patrick Murphy - they came out promptly the next day. Technician was very professional and experienced. He tracked down the problem in a short time and fixed it. Turned out to be a loose wire in a light switch. Fast, professional and reasonable price.

The Service Technician that helped me was very professional and knowledgeable. He came and gave me the quote, and pointed out that some parts were missing from the fixture, so I was able to go back to the electrical store and get exactly what we needed. He gave me a price, which did not change. He was careful of my kitchen surfaces and did a very tidy and clean job, and the fixtures look great.

I called at 10am and was told someone could come by between 12 and 1 that day to give an estimate and perform work. The electrician arrived just after 12 and was able to give me an estimate within 30 minutes. I thought the job was fairly complicated because I had already purchased most of the outlets and wires necessary (I was originally planning to do the work myself, but thought better of it) so I was surprised at the low $300 estimate. Once I gave the go-ahead he started work immediately and called for another employee to come and assist. They worked together for only a couple of hours and had me review their work several times during the process to make sure it was installed how I was expecting. I was very impressed with their experience and professionalism and highly recommend them to anyone else looking for electrical or home theater wiring help!
