Also specialize in staining, I also make sure that I'm very clean and make as little pick up as possible. Everything I do is done in a comfortable paced manor so I know that the job I do gets done the way it should be and everyone is happy at the end of the day/job.

If all else fails, white-painted brick is a timeless, classic look that is unlikely to go out of style.

It's possible to paint over paneling without sanding if you use a primer that masks defects and provides a strong base layer for the final coat of paint to adhere to. If you have solid wood paneling, it's helpful to sand it lightly so your primer and paint stick. But, if your paneling has a faux veneer, skip the sanding because you’ll remove a layer and expose the pressed board underneath.

You can test to see if your mist coat has worked by using masking tape after the drying period. Apply masking tape to an inconspicuous area of the wall after the mist coat has had at least 24 hours to dry. Then, peel off the tape. It should come up clear, with no paint residue. If it does have paint residue, you may need to remove the mist coat and try coating the plaster again with a different ratio of paint and water.

If your popcorn ceiling is asbestos-free and you are ready for a new look, painting is an option.
