Small jobs welcome

"The work was amazing, they are very good at what they do. We have a three bedroom house and it took a lot of time due to their initial 3-4 hours per day to paint, but ultimately, we have a beautifully painted house and would very much recommend them to do yours."

"The first person we met when we contacted this company was Becky.  She was super friendly and so pleasant to work with.  She took the ideas we had and suggested some wonderful ideas to incorporate into our plan to make our home beautiful and make every room flow into each other.  Within 2 days, she had an estimate ready for us which was very reasonable.  She set up the start date of June 18th, and said it would take that week to finish.  Sure enough, on Friday, the 22nd, they were done, and we had a beautiful new home.  We are so pleased with them that we definitely would use them again.  We highly recommend the services of Magnifical Painting."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

The general consensus is that two coats of stain are required and since the cedar is siding, a third coat of sealant is always a good idea. This helps protect the wood and stain, so you won’t need to resand and restain for at least a decade. Each stain after the first will darken the wood, so be aware of that when choosing a colored stain.

It’s a good idea to sand your porch before painting. This will remove loose or chipped paint and debris, and give you a cleaner surface so that your new paint goes on smoothly. But if the existing surface is in good condition, it’s not necessary to sand your porch before you paint.

When applying multiple coats, wait four to six hours for each coat to dry. Not waiting long enough can result in streaks, peeling, and uneven color. Plus, it will be more difficult to discern where the second coat has already been applied.

Wood stain is typically dry to the touch within 6 to 12 hours, but it is not fully cured at this point. You should wait at least 24 hours before applying a second coat or a protective finish. For surfaces like decks, avoid walking on them for at least 24 to 48 hours, and wait even longer before placing furniture. The full curing process can take from 24 hours to one week, depending on the type of stain. Factors like high humidity and cold temperatures can extend drying and curing times, so it's wise to allow for extra time in these conditions.

A five-gallon bucket of deck stain will cover roughly 875 square feet in a single coat. Actual coverage will vary based on the type of wood you’re staining and the number of coats. If you plan on doing multiple coats, multiply the square footage by the number of coats to calculate how many buckets of stain you’ll need.
