"I had a significant erosion problem on a sloped portion of my yard. Putnam Greenspace provided a quote that included the cost of all materials, so I knew what I would be paying. The topsoil was delivered, graded, raked, and seeded. Erosion control netting was laid down and all was done on time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Putnam Greenspace to anyone. As an addition to this project, Putnam Greenspace also cleared out an old burn pile in my back yard that included concrete blocks and fence wire. This was not a job that I could easily have accomplished - if at all - by hand. The site was left cleared and leveled and ready to go."

"David and his team were great. They did a good job fixing my drainage issues and created a nice patio. I described my wants and needs for the project, and David carried them out. I would recommend them for your landscaping project."

"We had Michael Sovastion and Wade Loden out to our property to do some land clearing. Both gentlemen were on time. They were within the budget quoted. The work conducted was impeccable. They were polite, and went above and beyond. The care that they put into the job was most outstanding. I was very impressed of the attention to detail and care that was put into the equipment the used for the job. (This is a Military small owned business) that is doing outstanding work at every level. I plan to bring them back for more work in the future. My wife and myself are retired Military, we expect attention to detail and we got it 100% and then some. They have set the standard for all others to follow. Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Other projects that you can do at the same time as your trellis include painting the deck , installing a pergola, or adding mulch to your garden beds.

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

There are two main times of year to apply mulch: mid to late spring and late fall. Spreading mulch in mid to late spring helps protect new seedlings as the soil warms up. It's best to wait until temperatures are steady, as mulching too early in the spring can slow down the soil's warming process and hinder plant growth. Fall mulching is also beneficial, as it insulates the soil and helps regulate its temperature when the first frosts arrive.

It is for the purpose of protecting them from hail because you’ll be removing it soon after the threat is over. However, plastic or vinyl tarps aren’t recommended as a long-term way of protecting your plants from frost because they’ll trap too much moisture inside, which is actually not a good thing for your plants. But in the short term, it’s fine to use even an overturned garbage can to protect a plant from hail.

If you’re hiring a landscaper to plant the garden of your dreams, you do not need to provide them with plants that you bought yourself from a nursery. While you certainly can provide your landscaper with plants, keep in mind that some nurseries provide discounts to landscaping companies, therefore potentially lowering your materials cost. Beyond the cost of the plants themselves, you need to have additional materials like topsoil and mulch for the project. Most likely, your landscaper can get a discount on these materials as well, so it’s worth speaking with them before making any large purchases.
