  I had them clean the algae from my roof and gutters, I mostly wanted it to look better for street appeal. But they went above and beyond, not only doing the cosmetic cleaning of the gutters I expected, but fully cleaning them out and ensuring they worked properly. The roof soft wash was done quite well, and they stuck with it until the job was done. I would definitely use them againshow more

  Greg Crocker handled every detail with professionalism and integrity throughout the entire process. He was specific in all discussions regarding the damage to the roof and gutters which was to be removed and replaced. Greg showed us several roofing jobs which his company had done over the years that were very impressive. His negotiating skills and business manner was professional and he was very easy to work with. The gutters with Leaf Guard and downspout were a perfect and matched the color we wanted. Roof MD crew took special care protecting my windows and Japanese Maple tree. The crews attention to detail in cleaning up after the job was above and beyond my expectations.   The inclement and unpredictable weather was a factor in the B grade for punctuality. They were due to be here between 10 AM - 12 N. He called around 11:00 AM to let me know they were running behind and it would be around 2 PM before they could be here. It was 4 PM before the first crew arrived. They did a very nice job and were finished by 5 PM. The second crew that vacs up the leaves didn't arrive until around 7 PM since they had to make an unexpected extra trip to unload leaves. In spite of working after dark, they did a nice job and the crew for both jobs were very nice and accommodating. This is a great recycling/composting idea and I liked not having 50 bags of leaves awaiting city pickup on the street for what is typically 7-10 days. It's a noisy process of vac'ing up the leaves and doing that part from 7-8 PM after folks get home was inconsiderate on my part. I will definitely schedule early enough to be the first on the list next year so it doesn't push the process into the evening. Although not excessive, this was the highest price I've ever paid for leaf removal but I will use this company again unless the price increases. Completed the work on time and checked with us at least 2 times AFTER the job was completed to see if we there was anything to follow up on and that we were happy with the results!   Donald was punctual from the start. After we walked around the house and discussed the job, he put together a very detailed and reasonable quote for the work that needed to be done. His crew arrived on time each day and were very professional & courteous throughout the 3 days they were on the job. After the job was completed, they cleaned up as if they were never there.   Researched available reports on Angie's List (AL) initially. The primary reason for joining the list was to avoid an extensive selection process on this project. Three potential candidates were considered based on their ratings on AL. Reports were read and then website content was similarly reviewed. Contractor selection was based on the following criteria: * Several reports noted positive experiences with large scope projects involving existing roof tear-off. * Specialized equipment specifically designed for removal and disposal of large quantities of debris - this was a key factor * Minimal damage reported to have incurred to yard & landscaping within reports * Responsiveness and attention to detail in the project planning phase * Ability to deploy a large enough crew to get the job knocked out quickly, efficiently & with minimal disruption - 2nd key factor Initially contacted Excellent roofing via email and followed up by phone. David was assigned as our project manager. We worked through several proposal scenarios and options. Due to the cost it was initially considered to postpone the project for a year. However effects of recent storms made it apparent it needed to be done sooner rather than later. Options were finalized and final proposal drafted. A list of specific tasks was submitted to be included within the contact prior to signing; about 10 items. All were accepted and included as non-cost adders. Preselection of color samples were applied to the existing roof and final selection confirmed that day. Start date was delayed several days due to heavy rains. Once the crews began work the speed at which they moved through the job was impressive. The work was basically completed in 3 days. This is especially noteworthy considering 55 cubic yards of roof debris had to be removed & disposed of. Crew started mid-day on a Wednesday. Inspection walk-thru was completed that Friday afternoon. Corrective actions (short list) were communicated that same evening. Those were completed Saturday AM just prior to the next rain event in the afternoon. Clean-up was thorough. The decking consists of 1x slats so much debris fell down into the attic areas. These access areas were cleaned up as well. Would we use them again? Absolutely and another potential job has already been briefly discussed with them. Both John the owner and David were professional in their communications & interface with us. It should be noted that the price ranking selection was intentionally left selected as N/A. The project was not "price shopped" even though a more competitive bid may likely have been obtainable. Price on this job was high and that is acknowledged. Premium grade material selection contributed to that to a significant degree. Considering the particular challenges involved there was an immediate sense that this company could meet the primary criteria listed above; i.e. quality, speed, efficiency & minimal disruption. They delivered & the roof looks great. We were dreading this task and they made it relatively painlessshow more

  I e-mailed Mr. Kee through Angie's list to give me an estimate on replacing this roof. He replied very promptly and we made an appointment for him to estimate the job. The appointment was kept and the roof was thoroughly examined as was some exterior wood damage around several door frames. Mr. Kee e-mailed me a written estimate for the roof repair but gave me the name of another firm to repair the damaged wood since he felt this repair might require more specialized expertise. I accepted the estimate and set another appointment to select the shingles. Mr. Kee again kept the appointment promptly and gave me information and advice to help me make the best choice but did not try to push any particular material. I made my selection and we made an appointment for the work to begin. Again, the appointment was kept promptly. The crew worked quietly and very efficiently. The entire job was done in about a day and a half and this is not a small house (57 squares). All debris was picked up and carted away. The yard was swept multiple times with a magnet. The gutters were cleaned of debris. The aluminum pipe boots were installed and painted to match the shingles. It is a beautiful job. One tire of my utility cart was flat and Mr. Kee very kindly used his air compressor to re inflate it for me. Another firm, in a different line of work, uses the motto "Careful, quick, and kind". Kee Roofing and Home Improvement could easily adopt it. I contacted the other firm Mr. Kee recommended and was delighted with them as well. Great experience all aroundshow more
