The plan is to get enough clientele that my boys can help expand the business. Currently my oldest is helping me on jobs and gaining experience along the way. Im out of Afton, TN on the north side 8 minutes from I-81. Im willing to travel for my services and I feel my pricing is fair across the board if not better. "It all started out well after purchase of the initial Angie's list deal.  We promptly agreed on a date and a gentlemen came to measure and start the paperwork. Install date was set for 11/5/15. On 11/4, I was called about setting an install date.  My response was I already had one for the next day. Long story short, the company did not bother to tell me they had cancelled my appointment, they just acted like I never had one.  It was as though one side of the business did not know what the other side was doing. Since I made arrangements to be home on the 5th, I was not happy.  We finally settled on the 12th and the installation went smoothly enough.  However after completion, I noticed the installers had broken a piece of moulding in front of the patio door.  I know they realized they cracked it because they used clear caulk as a fix. I called the company and they said they would replace.  As of 11/30, the moulding still has not been replaced even though I was told the installer was picking up molding on 11/17.
I will say the person who came to measure and the lady who did the follow-up calling were professional. However, I can't say the same for the install side. The contact person was nice enough but he did not contact me to say the install was cancelled and to me it's taking way too long to replace the molding the installers broke.  I view it as a lack of integrity to cover up breaking the piece and not bothering to say anything to me.  The patio door is beautiful and I had planned to purchase a front door from them but have changed my mind.

"Contacted Combs Roofing with what we wanted done about three weeks ago. Jeremy came right out and gave an estimate on both cost and time needed to complete the job. We were provided with a detailed estimate by his wife, Tammy. We agreed.
Work got started on time, but hit a snag when our existing back porch overhang was found to have water damage. Jeremy and I agreed to a revised price, which included replacing the existing overhang.
At this point, things started to slow down as Jeremy's work crew didn't seem to agree on the proper way to proceed. Several sunny days were wasted with little work getting done, until finally Jeremy himself showed up to supervise the work.
Several times during the construction process, Jeremy asked for additional funds against the balance owed upon completion. I agreed and provided them.
Work was finally completed yesterday, and final payment made. I am satisfied with the quality of work done, so far as I can tell at this time.
My biggest complaint is that a job that should have taken less than a week took over two weeks to complete, with several wasted, sunny days that nothing at all was done. It seems that Jeremy (owner) has to be present for any significant progress to be made.
Jeremy himself seems to me to be a very skilled roofer and carpenter. The only advice I could offer him is to try to hire dependable, skilled, workers, and don't give overenthusiastic estimates on how long it will take to complete a project.
