Porcelain and ceramic tile are two of the longest-lasting kitchen flooring materials. However, while these materials can withstand a good amount of daily wear and tear, they’re likely to crack if you drop something heavy on them, and they’re pricier than many other options. On average, installing a ceramic tile kitchen floor costs between $1,240 and $11,250. Other durable kitchen flooring options include natural stone and concrete.

For this reason, pet owners may want to opt for the more durable laminate flooring options that offer the appearance of hardwood without the vulnerability to scuffs and scratches. As a bonus, laminate flooring is also less expensive than engineered hardwood.

Soft spots in a mobile home floor can be caused by settling of the foundation or by improperly installed foundations. If the foundation moves, it can create stress on the floor material, causing soft spots to form. Water damage can also cause soft spots in the floor, so it’s a good idea to get a pro to inspect your floors if you have soft spots.
