Wet floors can be very slippery resulting in slips and falls that can cause serious injury or even death. Wet Surface Technologies reduces the likelihood of slips and falls with two distinct treatment procedures depending on the type of flooring. Our first treatment is a liquid modifier which reacts with the minerals in stone based floors such as ceramic, terrazzo, porcelain, marble and concrete to put down a microscopic thread that you cannot see or feel. This is not a coating. When your surface is wet it meets ADA Guidelines for Static Co-efficiency of Friction which is the standard for determining safer floors when wet. This service comes with a two year warranty. Our second treatment is a clear coating with a polycarbonate "grit" that is applied over surfaces such as metal, wood, fiberglass and vinyl or almost any surface. This treatment comes with a one year warranty. After your treatment is complete, we return in six months for a "check up" to insure that our service is performing up to expectations. All treatments are applied by our trained staff.

Marble Granite World has been in business since 1999, and were the pioneers of natural stone fabrication in the Triad area. We take pride in our quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service.
"This is probably the most painful review that I have ever had to leave. It’s most painful because the process was so easy and we were SO sure to have made the right choice. Our Sales Associate was amazing. They had a great selection. We were able to quickly obtain a sample. I could go on and on about why I thought this was going to be the most amazing experience. But then it happened. Generally speaking, I wish that there was more “coaching” for getting ready for templating with an older home. The old cabinets were not level. As a matter of fact, they were way out of level. That’s on us. MGW was able to re-schedule our template appointment, which was wonderful. Still, we have nearly ½” gaps between the wall and the countertop due to “old walls”. Okay, that’s on us. We gave them our sink, showed them our existing cooktop and followed all other instructions. They measured the cooktop and took the model number. On installation day, the hole was measured, the cooktop was measured, again. All seemingly great news until my electrician arrives to install the cooktop and the hole is too big. He has to build a smaller square to support the glass cooktop that was solely resting with fractions of inches of support from the countertop. I am told by one of the owners that it “meets specifications” and “is normal” since it’s not “falling through the hole”. “Unless it’s falling through the hole, we did our job.” This was his “hill”! He stood aggressively firm in that they did everything right and in, over, 40 years this has never been an issue. So, again, we the homeowners and, now, the manufacture specs are at fault. When I tell you that I was shocked by his behavior and unwillingness, not only to, own any fault whatsoever, but blatant disregard for customer service; it’s probably an understatement. He was so defensive and self-assured at the same time. Fortunately, for me, my electrician is also a trim carpenter. I didn’t need MGW to take ownership or be responsible for these minor failures, but my hope was that they would so that I did not have to write this ending to the story. So that I don’t have to look elsewhere for future projects. Literally one person stands in the way of a GREAT referral, but I am reminded that people make, or break, the difference. Not the CNC machine, not the manufacturer specs and certainly not the belief that fractions of inches is sufficient support for a glass cooktop. You know, the thing that you rest heavy pots and pans on (up to 4 at a time). But what do I know? Clearly. UPDATE: I contemplate deeply before writing a review and only to the extent that it’s helpful for others. I hope that it rings true here. I took some time over the weekend to meet with the owner that I spoke to by phone earlier in the week. I was reminded that on two separate occasions, he came out to make some minor repairs to the countertop after install. Within the day, on separate days, he was able to come to our home to make the repair. It certainly reminded me why we chose MGW in the first place. It was a little more expensive than what we were originally considering, but it was worth it. The consideration to update my zero-star review to a four-star review is that IF this problem had not already been resolved, and irrespective of “responsibility”, I believe that MGW would have worked to make a better solution to secure the cooktop. This cooktop was existing to the house when we purchased it, but the previous homeowners purchased it in 2015. So, I wouldn’t consider it ancient. Still, it needed further consideration and I believe that this served as a learning experience."

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts
Popular options include ceramic, porcelain, stone, and glass tiles, chosen based on the area (bathroom, kitchen) and desired aesthetic.
Yes, provided you aren’t installing drywall over it. But you can skim coat it, apply new tile right on top, paint it, or stencil it. For more budget- and DIY-friendly options, you can install beadboard or apply decals. Just make sure that the current tiles are in good condition and prepped well for the paint or adhesive to stick.
Just because you can, doesn’t always mean you should. You can apply new tile over existing tile in a bathroom, but the new tile may not look great if you lay it over worn, cracked, or uneven tiles. The adhesive may not be able to attach the new tile to the old tile properly, and this will add more weight to the drywall.
It takes more time and effort, but removing existing tiles before retiling a bathroom is worth it.
For professional labor and materials, it would cost between $6,000 and $28,000 to install 1,000 square feet of Saltillo tile flooring. If that’s out of your budget, you could consider laying the tiles yourself or choosing a less expensive type of flooring. For example, vinyl flooring costs just $2 to $7 per square foot, so for a 1,000-square-foot space, you’d pay $2,000 to $7,000.
Beyond landscaping, limestone has multiple uses. For example, there are multiple pros and cons to limestone countertops, such as a lower cost compared to other types of stone and heat resistance. Limestone is also a key ingredient in limewash, a type of paint with a chalky texture. Other uses for limestone include siding, retaining walls, and mixed into cement.
