The most negative aspect of this installation was the incompetance of whoever makes their countertops. The sales person did not know that we could get back height that matched our old counter top and told us we had to have sit on backs. When installer came to measure, he was able to change the order to built-in back height that matched what we had. Plumber did not show up the day of the install, so we did without kitchen sink for 1 day. Side sit on end piece was incorrectly made. Factory keeps sending replacement end pieces that are incorrect in different ways. It is now 2 months since install and we still do not have a counter top end piece. Also when the parts do come in, there is a delay of 2 weeks getting the part to the installer. UPDATE: The manufacture shipped yet another incorrectly made part. But the installer was able to take a previous wrong part and route it down to fit. So installation is finally complete.
Description of Work: Replaced kitchen counter top.

Still in progress. But the doors brought are not the ones we thought we ordered. Manager searched and found his notes where we had switched to a cheaper door style. To be sure you get the door ordered, ask person doing the measurement to bring a sample door.

We purchased carpet from Home Depot, and were required to pay up front so it could be ordered. When the carpet arrived, they contacted us and set a date/time they would come to install it. Home Depot contracts the company, USIG, for carpet instillations. USIG sent me an email the night before the installation (Dec. 3) to confirm the installation for Dec. 4th and the time (10-1) as well as provide the name and picture of the person in charge. The next day (Dec. 4) the workers did not arrive and did not call to say they were running late. I contacted the company 3 times before someone finally returned my call. They offered an apology, but said they had to reschedule for later the following week. There were several problems with this: 1) I live in a different state due to work, so I had to take off work 2 days for the carpet installation (Thursday and Friday Dec 4-5) which didn't happen. 2) I have a small child, so I had to hire a babysitter for the installation day. 3) I had painters scheduled to come in after the installation, so they were set back as well, and I lost a deposit paid to them for being unable to have them paint at the scheduled time. I was promised that I would receive a $100 giftcrard to compensate for their no-show, but they later denied it and nothing came of it. I was told a general manager would contact me the following day, but never did. I called and left several messages, but my calls were never returned. I finally called Home Depot and asked if they could help since USIG works for them. The woman I spoke with was very helpful and tried her best to contact the company as well, but got no further than I did. Friday at 4:45pm, I finally got in touch with someone at USIG and was promised the work would take place on Saturday. Home Depot contacted me after that and promised to discount the total cost of the babysitter ($60) from the installation fee, which we have already paid. The bottom line is: I am completely unimpressed with the lack of professionalism and integrity that USIG and Home Depot have displayed. We paid a significant amount of money for work to be done on a certain day. Money does not grow on trees for my family, and it was a huge hit to our budget to pay for carpet, take off work, and make sure our child had a safe place to stay while the work was being done. For the company to simply not show up, not return phone calls/messages, and string me along for 2 days is unacceptable. I will not use Home Depot for any projects in the future or to purchase any supplies since they use outside companies to do work. There are too many other companies that provide the same services they do that have not let me down for me to spend my hard earned money with HD again.
Description of Work: The provider failed to show up for work, did not call ahead to let me know, did not return phone calls or messages.
