I have used them twice. He is fantastic. He knew what was going on. He was very knowledgeable. He told me that an independent line needs to be put in for my new furnace. I did have to pay extra for parts. He gave me a fair price. He did not nickle and dime me. He offered me advice. He thought about my needs and keeping the cost down. He cleaned up nicely. I would use him again.

He arrived on time and with all required tools. I appreciated his squeezing me in during the very busy holiday season.

I called them to schedule, but they weren't able to come out due to the them being too busy. They were nice, but it's a small company and he wasn't able to come out - his first available appointment was in 10 days.

He showed up on time and was very professional. He got right to work and got both jobs I had planned for him done in the two hours of time I had. I was pleased with his work and found him very personable. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Jay wired our basement for cable, including running HDMI cable and speaker wire through the ceiling of our finished basement, moved outlets, and hung our TV so that we could enjoy a wireless appearance. We were told by multiple people that the procedure would result in extensive "cutting" of our ceiling to accomplish the task and Jay was able to do just the opposite! His work was fast, efficient, detailed and turned out awesome. We will absolutely use him again for other projects!

Jay came to do the 4 hours if electrical work for $179, which is a steal! No way can he be making money on this. My husband & I prepped the space -demolition (removed walls & insulation), had drop lights/flashlights, and had a step stool ready for his arrival. I have to say-that made it much easier & faster for Jay. We knew what we needed & he helped us figure out how to achieve that. We knew it was a big job& very happy we took the time to prep the space. He re-wired the room (original wiring, which was a disaster) in 4 hours and did it how we wanted. He made intuitive guesses and it aligned with our needs. Thrilled we got this deal and such a great price. Materials cost $20 in addition to the $179 deal. SUPER!

Jay presented himself very well. He listened intently as I described the problem. He then asked me some questions to qualify the situation, made a hands on inspection of the problem recessed light fixture and proceeded to evaluate the situation. Jay then suggested a course of action to repair the problem that was successful.

I had purchased new fixtures to replace older ones i had outdoors. The work was done to my satisfaction/

On the evening of Oct. 17th one of the main fuses failed due to a poor connection which resulted in losing half the power to our house. A connection was made with a new fuse, but the contact had deteriorated beyond the point of being able to use any heavy loads (Dryer, Stove). I called Jay Laury of Positive Energy Electric and he responded shortly after saying that he could come by later that evening. He discussed the job and it was agreed that this would be a good opportunity to update and upgrade the service. He did the job the next day and had our house running at full power by the evening. He handled the permit and arranging the inspection. His work was excellent and I greatly appreciate his very quick response to our situation. He acted professionally and was very receptive to my questions. I would use his services anytime the need arises.

Jay was able to come by the same day I called which was great. He found the problem in the cellar right away and fixed it. Then he checked the smoke alarm. The front doorbell had not been working for some time. Jay cleaned the chimes and replaced the doorbell switch to fix the problem. The charge was very reasonable and if I ever need an electrician in the future I will be sure to call him. I will also recommend him to my friends and family. He did a great job.

I was in the process of selling my home and some electrical items were found needing repair by the buyer in their home inspection. I agreed to fix some of the items and had found Positive Energy here on Angie's List. Jay arrived on time and performed all the work at such a reasonable price. He provided a comprehensive report so I could provide the buyer with proof that the items agreed to were repaired professionally. Jay goes over and above and I would recommend him and his company to everyone!

They had many people purchase this big deal so it took a little while to return my call. Once we were in contact, we set up the appt for the next week. The 2 gentleman showed up when they said they would, did a perfect job installing the light fixtures and cleaned up well. I would recommend them.

Jay was quite responsive and came when stated he would. For a second visit after I purchased some clock parts Jay kept me abreast of his schedule when he had to cancel, but made it a point to finish the job in a timely manner. Without a doubt Jay is a responsible and easy contractor with whom to do business. I would not hesitate calling him again. If Jay took such care with the small jobs I had, I think he could be trusted with more complicated jobs.

Jay was unbelievably responsive when we had lost power last year (for more than a week) and we needed help installing a generator. He came at the end of a long day and stayed 'til the job was done. He was informative, professional and very fair with us. I called him this morning about another problem and he again offered to come at the end of the day rather than having me wait another day for service. Highly recommend him.

Very pleased with Jay and his helper. They were on time, pleasant, efficient and quick. Jay even wrote down the name of the lights I needed to pick up from Home Depot. Very helpful.

Did an excellent job. Price was much lower than other quotes. Designed an installation that will allow for an upgrade to 200 Amp service at a significant cost saving in the future. Would definitely recommend them and use them for any future needs.

Jay just left my house. I found him on Angies list after calling other electricians and not getting calls ack. Jay called me right back and made an appointment around my schedule. He arrived on time, gave me an estimate - we made an appointment for the work and he was ON TIME again. He takes pride in his work and it shows. He is a sweet heart of a guy and even took care of some mouse entry holes we had near the switch box. I would highly recommend him. He is fair, honest, and a "real person." He'll be back here again for more work we need to have done.

I called on one day and Jay came out the next day at exactly the time he said he would. He was extremely porfessional and gave me very fair estimates of work that needed to be done and then when I was happy with the estimates he went right to work and finsihed in a timely fashion. I was 100% happy with the work. He is very patient and explained very clearly the best way to do the work. I asked for some estimates of some future projects and he was very informative in suggesting the best way to go with them. I've had a lot of electrical work done on my house in the past and Jay has been the best one I have ever had. It was a true joy and pleasure to have him do the work I needed.
