It went fine. We were very satisfied. They do a lot of work in the condo complex.

He was very knowledgeable and personable. Spent a long time explaining exactly what needed to be done. Unfortunately, his price was higher than the other two estimates we received. I would be very comfortable hiring him based on his knowledge.

Scott and his team were wonderful. We purchased a new house and noted that a lot of the electrical work was shoddy or didn't work as we expected it to. The team came in and assess and updated the work to bring it up to code and updated several fixtures as well as installing several new ceiling fans and a whole home surge protector. They were professional, on time and provided realistic expectations.

This was my first experience with S&S and I was very pleased. I purchased an Angie's Deal for $260 for 2 electricians to perform 2 hours of work each (in one visit). Everything went great from the very beginning. Communication was prompt and easy. They had me on the schedule within a week and the electricians arrived first thing in the morning on the day we had scheduled. I walked them through some of the work I wanted performed while they were there. First, I wanted several old, ceiling mounted florescent light fixtures removed and the wires capped off. Secondly, I wanted them to look at a loose/hanging wire that looked suspicious. They removed all of the lighting and even fastened the wires to the beams where they were dropping into the previous drop-ceiling. Additionally, they informed me that the suspicious wire I was worried about wasn't connected to anything electrical source. As an added benefit - They told me it was an old copper wire that can be taken to a recycling center. =) Excellent experience. I just ordered some new lighting to replace the old and am scheduling S&S to come back to install them. I would definitely recommend them to others.

They were terrific; the price was good and they came when they said they were going to come.

They were fine and no problem. I have no problems with them. The prices were fair. There was no problem with their responsiveness.

The electrician did an excellent job, following through until the whole job was complete and everything working top notch when he left. It was a very complicated problem, and took hours to resolve. I was impressed with his focus and knowledge and patience to find out all the disconnects in the wiring. I already referred this company several times and is my first go-to company from now on for any electrical issues. Thanks

We required prompt specific work based on a home inspection report for a home we were selling. He brought the home up to code in one visit, was knowledgable about the verbiage within the home inspection report, and how to make both the seller and buyer happy at minimal cost. I have a much bigger project in mind in my new home, and I will definitely be in touch with them when the time comes.

Did a great job with all projects. 2 workers came. One worked on the garage wiring while the other electrician hung the light and fan - after removing the previous one that no longer worked. Picked up & swept when done. Removed & disposed of all packaging material as well as the old fixtures. Very pleasant and professional in their demeanor.

Quick to respond and was very professional. Came by and gave an estimate on the spot. We ended up not getting the work done but enjoyed meeting them and would have liked to have worked with them.

S & S ELECTRIC did a good job. I paid for two service people for four hours. One technician had an emergency so I ended up with one guy for seven hours. I was not impressed that it ended up taking all day. Their quality and professional was pretty good. I do not think I will be using them in the future.

Although, the electrician found the problem and fixed it by restarting the breaker, it took 5 minutes and I was charged for 2 hours of labor. Never again.

It was very good, they just got everything done, and they got it done right, they worked well with the AC company. They were clean, they cleaned up after themselves, there was a whole miscellaneous things that they did and everything got done, when they run into problems, they found a timely work around.

I purchased the 2 electricians for 2 hours of electrical work. They arrived right at 0800 which is exactly when they said they would. They introduced themselves then went right to work. I wanted a new porch light put in as well as my breaker looked at due to a circuit that was tripping. I explained exactly what I was trying to have done, and they answered all my questions and went right to work. One did the porch light while the other went right to work on the breaker. They finished right at the 2 hour mark and everything worked just as it was supposed to. I have had no problems with my circuit tripping since they fixed it. They were also able to give me a quote for some other work. Great electricians with an impeccable professionalism.

S and S Electric was contracted to install a Generac backup generator including the subcontracting for the installation of the natural gas plumbing. They were exceptionally competent and proceeded in a professional manner every step of the way. I would hire them again and I recommend them to anyone needing similar services.

Scott was wonderful with his estimate, and Lucy in the office helpful with the Angies List discount. His crew of two arrived on time both days and completed the work on time, with very little mess. They were good natured and kind.

Scott arrived promptly on time - to the minute - to meet and go over the job. He took the time to discuss and understand out plans and accurately evaluate the work involved. We bought this house from my wife's family when her father passed away. Built in 1965, it had 100A service, which was really good for the time. But it was fuses, not circuit breakers. I wanted that upgraded before I ran out of fuses in the dusty box i found down cellar. The house is out in the country, with a well and sump pump to worry about when the power goes out. So as part of the service upgrade, I had planned to buy a consumer grade/brand 14KW standby generator which would allow me to power a pre-defined selection of critical circuits in the event of a power failure. Scott listed to all these plans, and for roughly the same cost, he proposed installing a Milbank 20KW generator with a "smart" transfer switch. With this solution, I wouldn't have to choose what would be powered from the generator - the whole house is served. The smarts in the panel can be used to prioritize high current loads. For instance, if the power goes out with a roast in the oven and the AC on, the transfer switch will know not to power up the AC unit until the oven finishes drawing power. VERY slick.. Scott completely estimated the job and provided us with a competitive, detailed quote before he left. It was spot-on with what I'd expected - a little less than some quotes, a little more than others. But the details swayed me. Rather than just pulling numbers out of the air, Scott accounted for wiring, boxes, etc., so I knew what I was paying for. I accepted his quote and Scott scheduled the initial work for the following week. (By the way, my wife thought I was crazy for wanting an automatic generator but the very afternoon that Scott was there to give us a quote, the power went out in a thunderstorm while dinner was in the microwave. Stayed off for 6 hours...score one for me, LOL!) His crew arrived promptly at 8:00AM each day. It took them about a day and a half to do the service upgrade and rewire the garage. At this time, they installed the transfer switch, as it sits between the meter (National Grid) and the new 200A house breaker panel. They ran all of the feed and control cables for the generator as well. The generator was backordered, and took about a week or so for it to arrive. In the meanwhile, we'd had the propane installed and the generator location pre-plumbed. Lucy (who always pleasantly answers the phone when I've called S&S) called the day before to let us know it was in. Again, promptly at 8:00 the guys arrived and built the mounting pad for the generator. They finished the wiring and we had the electrical inspection done. Next day, propane guys came back and finished their connection and that building inspector signed-off. S & S came back to finalize the installation and show us how it worked. Uh oh, problems. Generator's running fine, but the transfer switch won't power up the house! S&S quickly trouble-shooted the problem, a bad solder joint on the "brain". A quick call to the manufacturer and we were told the part would be shipped to arrive Monday (it's now Thursday afternoon). That would be great service as it was, but because my wife is a school teacher and summer vacation ended on that Friday, we were going to have trouble scheduling S & S. They went out of their way to accommodate and planned to make an after-hours stop Monday night with the replacement part. We were amazed when Lucy called at 8:00AM Friday morning saying they got an expedited delivery of the part and the guys could come over anytime Friday after all! 10 minutes to pop in the good control board, and we were up and running. Couldn't be happier with the work, price, and service, and recommend S & S to anyone who asks.

Estimate was done promptly.Work was scheduled within a reasonable time frame.They showed up and completed the work the scheduled day.Bill was the same as the estimate.

They did a fine job, and they honored my coupon that I had. They made the estimate one day, and they came to do the job practically the next day. The gentlemen who came was good at explaining what the problem was. They don't have the worker deal with the payment process, they have a special guy who picks up the payment. I was pretty pleased with the work they did and how they got the job done. I thought that they had very modern equipment, and everything was hooked up correctly.

The estimate was resonable considering 2 other slightly lower estimates, The timeline was resonable. The 2 man crew was efficient, courteous and presentable. The workers took extra time to seperate and identify the circuits throughout the house. Overall the experience was comfortable and the work efficient.

The owner came out. He was on time and friendly. I showed him what was wrong. He didn't know how long the outdoor lighting would take because he would probably have to dig up the line.

The S & S two man crew arrived on time, and were very neat and professional in their workings and appearance. They finished in the estmated completion time. Did a complete clean up of their work area, and even honored my wifes request that there be no smoking anywhere INSIDE the house or basement. I got higher, and lower estimates from 4 other electrical contractors, and are very satisfied with our choice of S&S ELECTRIC.

A friend referred them to us. It was a positive experience. We were happy with them. If we had electrical work to do again, we would call them. They were a trustworthy company. There wasn't anything that we were not happy with.
