Window World of Central PA

Two men arrived pretty much on time. They went to work right away. One man installed the five windows, while the other man installed the sliding glass door. They did a great job ! I would have given an excellent rating but after they left I went upstairs to the guest bathroom where one window was installed and saw there was a mess left on the floor. Otherwise they cleaned up well. I love the new windows and door!

From the beginning it was very evident that Window World operated on a professional level. The crew of three that was sent for the installation continued to carry on with professionalism, knowledge, attention to detail and pride in a job well done. They were considerate of the outside temps (January) worked efficiently to have as little cold air exposure as possible inside. (ie: closing doors to the rooms they were working in) These men worked together like a well oiled machine, each knowing what their job was and in tune with what the others were doing at all times. At no time did we observe any of them checking their phone, talking about anything other than the job related issues, not one swear word, not one break....and they ate lunch on the run. The job was completed in ONE day. We would highly recommend Window World for quality work and professionalism.

As for Window World of Central PA, who provided the laminated windows, I have to give them an A+. From beginning to end, the process went smoothly. The sales person's knowledge of windows, the owner who measured the windows, and the employees who installed the windows and cleaned up the mess were all concerned about their product, their company (guaranteed of windows), and represented themselves' by being courteous with me and answering all the questions I asked. They did a job well done. With them, I am pleased and will hire them in the future for other products they service.

Guys were prompt in arriving.  Each knew what task they were to complete and did so efficiently.  They put down tarps were they were working and  cleaned up any mess they made.  The windows they installed were exactly what the salesperson showed up.

Excellent quality bay window.Installers were professional and did an excellent job.They were neat and tried their best to provide answers to all my questions. They went out of the way to insure i was satisfied. The complete job took two days and was finished on time and as planned. The completed job looks wonderful inside and out. I would highly recommend this company. Mark and Richard (installers) were a pleasure to deal with and have my highest recommendation. Thank you for a job well done.

Window World sent someone to measure our Windows and to give us the price. The gentleman was very professional, courteous, and easy to talk with and answer any questions we had. They called to set an appointment to install the Windows even sooner than they said. The Windows came in very quickly. The installers were great. Pleasant to work with and very professional. They did a great job, our house is 160 years old so nothing was square or plumb but they made everything look good. The outside of the window was capped so there is no wood showing and nothing to paint. All of it was done in a day. We are very satisfied. We have six more on the front of the house to do and we will be using them again.

These guys came at 8:30 and by 10:30 had  taken out old windows, installed new windows.  They had alot of work to do
  outside and they did a beautiful job "wrapping" the windows.  Looks very nice.  Very impressed with the order time as well

Installer arrived on time.  They were courteous, polite and worked quickly.  Excellent workmanship.  Couldn't be happier with the product and overall experience.  Great company to deal with.  I will use Window World again.

This is the second job Window World has completed for us. The installers were On Time, Clean, Courteous, and Professional. Had to reschedule from 3/20 due to Snow, and Job was done yesterday 3/26 in Freezing rain. Sorry guys Mother nature just can't let go. You guys did a Great job and we will be contacting Window World for our next home upgrade. Thanks again.

The work went well. They did a good job. The workers were courteous.  It took three days to complete the work. They worked hard everyday. They scratched one of my windows and they did offer to fix it. They said they would sent me a product warranty but I have not received one yet.

We used Window World for our replacement windows and LOVED THEM. We raved to friends and family and recommended them countless times. That being said, I cannot say the same of their roofing services.
DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN WINDOWS.
We had a great meeting with their salesperson, he was polite, not pushy and very knowledgeable. We agreed to do the roof, signed the necessary contracts, then heard NOTHING for weeks. We had to call them to ask if we had been forgotten!
Anyway, it turns out the salesperson had left Window World and no one had kept up with his accounts. So we got lost in the shuffle. Then the roof became a last minute rush before our impending Thanksgiving vacation. The whole thing became stressful.
So the start date was set for the Wednesday before we were leaving and we we told we'd get a reminder call that Monday. Monday came and no call. We left a voicemail and heard back from the receptionist on TUESDAY that Wednesday was on. Then we found out that the job was to start on Thursday with supplies dropped off on Wednesday. Mind you, we're leaving for our vacation on Saturday, two days from the start day. Every day we were told the crew would show up and they were always late. With every communication via the office we got excuses and a lot of passing the buck. The roof had to be finished while we were away on vacation which didn't make us very happy. It was necessary for the crew to access our attic to put in a special vent for the bathroom. 
The crew left the site a mess. Big hunks of wood everywhere, nails etc.
Now the roof is done. It looks pretty good, the shingles are raised here and there but the contractor explained that when the weather warms up the shingles will settle down and sit flatter.
The spouting on the other hand was put up crocked, so that had to be fixed. 
I should point out that the foreman of the crew never showed up once, only after we had complained about the above mentioned problems did he come and speak to us.
ANYWAY, Window World did give us some cash off for all the irritation of the job. But we're still not happy...
THEY SHOULD STICK TO WINDOWS!

The sales process was quick and easy. the door was not ready until almost 3 months after sales Order was written. Outside of the delay for manufacturing, and setting up install date during holiday season, the whole process was well worth it. The installers were very professional and the door looks fantastic, they went the extra mile caulking some areas around the door not related to the install. I would recommend Window World for an entry door replacement.

Overall, I was very pleased with my experience with Window World.  Build quality of the windows is good and the installation went smoothly (although I did experience a problem with a cold window - which was addressed by Window World).  Based on other Angie's list reviews, I asked for Mark to be the team leader for the installation since a team of installers came to do the work because of the large number of windows that needed to be replaced.  Mark was professional, courteous and very detail-oriented. I would whole-heartedly recommend that you request him if you're doing a major window replacement project!   
 My only minor suggestion for improvement is for the front desk staff at Window World to be a little more responsive and accommodating to the customer when they call to schedule installation.  As with any custom-window order, you have to wait a few weeks for the windows to be built.  Everyone was friendly, but the scheduling person that called to arrange my installation didn't seem to care about my work schedule or family schedule when I told her that the initial installation date she suggested wouldn't work for me.  Fortunately, everything worked out?
If you are considering replacement windows, I would definitely recommend that you consider this Window World location.  Now that the colder weather has arrived, the difference these new windows have made is amazing!   The rooms are warmer and quieter?and the convenient features (such as tilt-in cleaning, double locks, security locks) are great!   Finally, if you're looking for a higher grade window that has a transferrable life-time  parts/labor warranty, definitely consider Window World.   I think this will be a helpful selling feature should we decide to sell our home in the future.

Over the last two years, Window World of PA has replaced our front door and side door windows, our second floor windows and just recently our first floor windows.  We were impressed with the aggressive pricing the owners provided.  The first floor and second floor windows were done a year apart and Window World honored the pricing from last year's installation of the second floor windows when we replaced the first floor windows last month.  We met with Angel Ford (owner) in early November and selected a December installation.  The next day we decided that we wanted the windows installed before we left for the Outer Banks for a Thanksgiving vacation.  We called Angel Ford and told her about our change in plans.  She told us that she would put a rush on the order and meet our request.  The windows were installed before we left for our vacation.  Some businesses make promises to get your business.  In our case, Window World promised and delivered!!
The workmanship of the installers was equally impressive.  They worked non-stop and constantly kept cleaning up after themselves as they worked throughout our house.  
Our house is a five bedroom colonial that nearly 25 years old.  The builder didn't install the greatest windows and doors when the home was built.  Since we started our replacement window process last year, our energy costs for heating and cooling have decreased.  The hidden benefit of the window installation was the noise reduction.  We didn't realize how much outside noise came through our windows until the new ones were installed and inside our house became quieter from outside traffic. 
We began our home improvement process over two years ago by attending the York County Home Builders Show at the York Fairgrounds.  We visited numerous window and door vendors and received quotes, then researched their products.  It was time consuming, but well worth the time and effort now that our house looks great with its new windows and front door.  Thank you Window World of Central PA for your part in making our home look better and being energy efficient.

Due to a mutual agreement we are just saying that in the end all work was done to our satisfaction. The provider was professional at all times.
