Within a week he had bought the door, half the needed cement and dug about 18 to 20 inches for the entryway to the basement. Then it was one excuse after another including: sick girlfriend, him in hospital, backhoe owner putting him off and then stiffing him for money paid to backhoe person, in hospital again to operate on broken wrist, van broke down and sporadic instances of being unavailable by phone and/or not at home. I finally filed charges against him in district court. I filed Aug 8 and the hearing will be Sept. 24. Plenty of time for him to get out of town, which he has. I believe he is now in Maryland. Christie Holley, his partner in this, has a Virginia driver's license. They may be there as well.
Description of Work: The contract was for installing an entrance to the basement including: cutting door opening, digging for access to basement, building cinder block walls and stairs, buying and installing basement door, backfilling and landscaping the area and fencing the entryway.
