The owner responded to my request for a quote quickly. Arrived when they said to look at the roof an prepare a quote. Quote for work was about what I expected and lower then some other quotes I received. When the work was scheduled the workers arrived on time and worked quickly. They left the area completely free of debris and explained what they were doing. I was very impressed with the quality of the work performed. Seemed like a good family owned business.

"I, Steve Kauffman (Owner of Shiloh Roofing), did respond to [Member name removed]’s winter 2014 call regarding the inside spouting miter leak. I made an appointment to repair the leak, which occurred after the bad winter weather. I did the repair myself – it was not one of my employees doing the repair. At the time of this repair, I spoke with [Member name removed] about his concern for respouting and explained the solution to his problem would be to add more down spouts. [Member name removed] did not want to move forward with this. My office (or I) has not received any communication from [Member name removed] since that repair service call stating a problem still existed. I can’t fix what I don’t know about. When I saw [Member name removed]’s first 4/22/15 posting on Angie’s List, I called [Member name removed] to discuss and correct any problem. Call made 4/23/15 at 8:00am. No one answered the telephone and the call went to voicemail, so I left a message. No reply from [Member name removed]. I saw a second 4/22/15 post on Angie’s List from [Member name removed] and again tried reaching [Member name removed] via telephone. Second call made 4/23/15 9:37am. No answer, so I left another message, stating I would like to set up an appointment to meet with him at his property to correct any problem. No reply from [Member name removed]. Note: I left my personal cell number as my contact number on both the voicemail messages. History: A written Proposal was written and submitted to [Member names removed] on October 16, 2013. The [Member name removed]’s accepted the written Proposal on October 23, 2013. Then, a written Contract was prepared and submitted to [Member names removed]. This Contract included Property location, Job description, Plans, Time performance, Payment agreement, Preparation, Permit information, and much more. The [Member name removed]’s signed and returned the Contract. The contracted work was completed on January 17, 2014. It was stated in the Contract a Job Completion date of on or before January 31, 2014. There was no guarantee the work would be completed by Thanksgiving 2013. In this line of work, roofing and spouting, weather is always a factor. First and foremost are the safety of my employees and the weather tightness of the customer’s property, which was practiced during [Member name removed]’s installation. Ridge vent installation can vary based on the location of chimneys, valleys, roof hips, and/or roof intersections. It takes a roof installation specialist to determine what is best for the situation. The Contracted work at the [Member name removed] residence was completed within the Contract perimeters. Shiloh Roofing has been in business since 1957. This second generation, family owned business has built its reputation on dependability, integrity and honesty. We wouldn’t be where we are today, if we didn’t practice these characteristics. I wouldn’t put the reputation of a 58 year old company in jeopardy for $1500 worth of spouting. I hope to hear from [Member name removed], so I can meet with him to resolve this. As of the time of this response posting, I have not heard from [Member name removed]."
