Description of Work: Called to schedule a repair trip for garage door opener not working - the man walked me through reprogramming the remote (press button under light cover on opener unit, and remote at same time to reset) - it worked! Thanks Sears for saving $ on a service call!

+ -1 moreThey were absolutely fabulous in every way. They are always fabulous. I think the price was fair. I didn’t have the time to go and check around, but I was happy with the price. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I had Sears put in a new garage door for me on the 14th of July.

+ 0 moreSears collected money and fixed nothing and is going out of its way to cause me maximum inconvenience and distress. Its employees are trained to act as uncooperative robots.
Description of Work: I have a very expensive Kenmore high efficiency front loading clothes washing machine that I purchased in 2004. It was the top of the line in that year. 6 years later it broke. I called Sear Service and scheduled an appointment two days later. Since it was a front loading machine the door locked so that I could not remove my clothes. The repair person showed up within 45 minutes of this notification phone call and of course he was able to open the washer door without any issues. He then ran diagnostics on the washer and it all seemed to be working but he never started a wash cycle and waited it out. So he left. Right after he left the house, I put the clothes that had been sitting for 2 days back into the washer to wash the mildew out. About 12 - 13 minutes into the wash cylce the malfunction happened again. So, I called Sears back and asked them to send the service technician back and witness how it is malfunctioning. My clothes appeared to be trapped again. Sears could not get ahold of the service rep. The routing department stated that he would not pick up his phone or pager nor return any messages for 3 hours until he was off of work. The routing department stated that they could not send another service technician. I called customer solutions and talked to about 10 different "escalation representatives" and the only solution they came up with was to re-schedule another service call in 11 days. So, as far as they are concerned it is just fine that my $1400 washer is allowed to sit non-functioning for 2 weeks before they may diagnose the problem plus the additional time to get the part ordered and schedule the next service call. In the meantime, they have charged my Sears credit card $320 in advance. I will search Angie's list for a different service company and attempt to cancel the service charge that Sears charged me.

+ -1 moreThe experience overall was excellent. Actually what had happened was I ended up blowing a tire & had the car towed to Sears & they were able to take care of me immediately. They balanced them & everything. They gave me the option to fix the one or replace them all & I decided to go ahead & replace them all. The staff were very knowledgeable about the tires they had & helping me decide which type I needed. It was very convenient as well since it was right there at the mall. I went shopping & came back 2 hours later & my car was ready. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I got the high end tires for my Volvo.
