The service technician arrived a few minutes after the scheduled start time which is to be expected I guess. I had called them because the basement was experiencing a minor issue with drainage from the recent September hurricanes flooding the city sewer lines to the max. I explained the situation to the tech and he proceeded to clean the sewer line after giving me two quotes. I knew it was not a serious issue so I only needed a simply cleaning job.
At first, I thought all was well until a few days later when the minor flooding reappeared. Because their contract included a three month service guarantee, I gave them a call back and they sent out a different service tech immediately. This time because the sewer drain in the basement was completely stopped up, the new tech was able to understand the situation without my having to explain to him. As a result, he repeated the process and we observed the drain did not clear out. So he opened up the drain and was able to clear it out and all was well again. Why the first technician did not do a complete job after explaining the situation to him, we do not know. But with the second tech who was more thorough, we can now say we are satisfied with the service.
Will I use them again? I don't know. This is a normal maintenance process every homeowner should do on their property, especially at the first sign of a slow drain. Just take a large bucket full of water and pour it down the sewer drain. If it drains quickly, you are fine. If it is slow, get it cleaned and repeat the process BEFORE the technician leaves. That way, you save yourself the hassle of calling them back. As well as the hassle of an emergency fix which can be costly.
