went fine, professional job and the area was cleaned up very well.

They showed up on time worked great and the results were great. Would recommend them to anyone. The price was fair and the work was excellent. Thanks Ricks Tree Service for the great work

1) I was told by Rick that the service would be completed in approximately 3 weeks from the time I signed my contract, it took 6 before he started the work. I understand that it rained and it slowed them down but at least communicate with your customers.
2) I had to re-schedule my driveway being ripped out and redone because I was waiting on Rick to get the trees down. I didn't want heavy equipment on my new driveway.
3) It took 2 visits for him to get the work done. The trimmed tree looked like they barely touched it and he didn't have all the necessary equipment the first time.
4) A row of lilac bushes were removed. The did such a horrible job with it, I ended up hiring someone else to finish the job.

Everything has been fantastic. He is wonderful-- very professional, on-time, comes when he says he will, calls when he says he will, and he is very helpful in selecting what will look best in the area you're planting. I can't say enough good things about this company.

We've used Rick to care for our trees for years. Consequently, in this latest ice storm we suffered very little damage. When we called him because we did have trees that dropped large limbs or broke, he was at our house (and my parents' house nearby) within the hour. On top of that, our neighbors grabbed him and he was very professional and helpful giving estimates and advice for their trees. I'm SO glad Rick is our tree guy.

Rick is extremely prompt and courteous. He does exactly what we want and offers suggestions to improve the projects. His prices were the best we've found. I'd highly recommend him for any tree or landscaping work.

Original Review: We have been using Rick's services for years. We find him personable, friendly and responsive. When we got hit by a sudden storm which took out many trees on our property, he was very quick to resond and take care of the problems (2011). Over the years, though, his quality of work has dropped as has his attentiveness to details. Meanwhile, we feel his estimates are getting higher and higher. When we had a lot of tree work done he had some guys come out and do the job, and he never actually came by to check the work, which wasn't exactly as we'd asked him.
This last job (2013) we used his landscaping services. We'd provided a written and detailed description of what we wanted, and he came in as the lowest bid. Having history with him we decided to use him again, but this time he cut down a tree we'd specified we wanted to retain. I'm sad to say, that while I really like Rick and believe he's capable of really good work, we won't be using him again.
VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE: I have updated my rankings because All of our concerns from this latest job including price and work, Rick made right. He worked his review from a B to an A. We WOULD use Rick again (if he'll have us). And are already considering our next project.
