Quality Service Center

The check engine "problem" ended up costing me $197 (later that evening, my check engine light came on AGAIN, and when I brought it back, as it turned out, the problem was actually that there was a universal gas cap in the car, and it required a dealer cap to fit securely and now allow for air leaks - another $40). The total of repairs, including spark plugs and engine air filter - which was supposed to be done ONLY if needed, cost $707. And there was an additional $600 in "suggested repairs and updates." I looked back at my car repair receipts - my usual mechanic has had health issues for about 6 months - and 7 months ago, he had ALREADY REPLACED MY SPARK PLUGS & ENGINE AIR FILTER!!! Our family has used this mechanic for all our vehicles for 10 years, and he has never done wrong by us, has always been honest, and reasonably priced. Quality Service Center replaced my spark plugs and engine air filter, saying it had obviously not been done since the car was made in 2009. I absolutely KNOW our usual mechanic would not have said he had done work that he didn't do, and charge us for it. In addition, my car now sounds and feels loud and rough, especially at higher speeds. I will NEVER use Quality Service Ctr again, and I DO NOT recommend using them.
