Job was done well, but now its leaking and the company is gone. So much for the Lifetime Warranty. July 20, 2020 -- Chapter 11 Voluntary Petition for a Non-Individual Small Business . They tore up my basement walls to water proof and they put in two water pumps. When they got to the 2nd basement the ground turned into sand so they wanted extra money so I had to take out a third loan. The people are friendly but it cost me over 17000 dollars for two basements that don't look good and don't work!! My basement water is still leaking all over the place and not going into the pumps the provided. I would never higher them again they are pushy at times to buy certain products. I wish. I never hired them.

This is an update to my initial review back on 12/2015. I was contacted by Mid-Atlantic concerning my dissatisfaction and after 3 attempts to rectify the situation a manager named Dan responded to my residence to look at my concerns and numerous complains. I must say that the remedy offered to correct my problem was to redo the job in its entirety and to my ultimate satisfaction at no cost to me. Mid-Atlantic stands behind their product and workmanship. In these time it is good to know that there are companies who put customer satisfaction first. I highly recommend this company to take care of your basement waterproofing needs.

I thought the office staff and engineer who came out were very professional and very helpful. They tried to minimize the dirt/dust as much as possible and did everything they promised. I had subsequent issues with my tenant and they jumped in and made every effort to resolve any issues. I was please with their work and willingness to help me. they also helped with financing and fully answered my questions and addressed my concerns.

They were very professional. They were also very responsive when I had questions. I had a very good experience. It was not an inexpensive experience. I think it's a really good investment for my house.

Well the first crew were an unprofessional group of young men. They put in the trac around the lowere wall alright, But the work was sloppy, they had gaps between the tracs, did not have pieces against the wall, installed two pumps that we are supposed to keep priming(we have been told by another  person in that field that the pumps  can cause us serious damage if we do have water). They left our basement a mess.We were told they would clean up after themselves. They took our good exstentioncord and left us afaulty one. The second crew came out after we called and complained about the job. They came put a couple screws in the wall and left.We kept calling Midatlantic to get someone higher up to come see what we were complaining about. They finally sent out someone who did agree we had a legit complaint .He gave us a list with about ten things the third crew should correct. When the third crew came out they arrived around 9am,looked around for about half an hour, then went and sat in their truck for over two hours. They finally came in did two or three things on the list ,had to run to a hardware store, was gone for about 45 minutes ,went back to the basement (did about an half an hours work and left. They did not do the complete list of corrections, they told us they were only given a short list.Every time we call to talk to someone in charge we get the run around. They offered to send out a fourth crew,my opinion for the amount of money we paid it should have been done right the first time.

We haven't had a big rain as yet since they put it in. They pumped out the water and they  were the best contracting company that we've ever used and we're very satisfied with them. The way they looked, they did the work very fast and it was really professional. They are neat, clean, they do what they tell you and I would definitely recommend them.

Very laborious job. Workers were very professional and hard working, completing the job in two days. Prior to jackhammering, they covered everything with plastic to keep the dust from covering basement contents. Cleanup was very good, and they explained the various steps of the process as they were being done. Was told that the work was guaranteed, and that if I ever had a problem, that they would address the problem at no charge. There was a follow up call from the office asking my assessment of the job. Waiting to see if the system works during the spring thaw. It"s been over a month with no water leakage in the basement.

I don't like them. Again, we were concerned about house and the basement and we're not sure if they treated them as they should have as far as quarantine element or get them evaluated and had no evidence they took care of that properly. I don't think that the end result was exactly the same of the salesman had promised. They drunk my beer, opened my refrigerator and got my beer, and they hit the bottles. They are really small younger guys and I ended up finding one beer bottle in a weird place and there were 5 more of them on another corner of the basement and there's no way that I put them there, and then where we find another beer bottle or not, my wife called the boss and the boss didn't answer the call. I did call, did complain, and the boss asked me what kind of beer and did replaced it. I was pissed because they basically stole from me. I haven't needed them to come back for any reason. They were charming the whole tie they were here but when ever they're here my beer is stolen.

The workers were efficient in what they did. They also were very clean. In addition, they patched some existing cracks in the wall with a product that does not match the existing mortar of the wall. Once the work was done, we had some questions and concerns about the work and they were quick to respond to fix the issues. They were right in line with other estimates. They also got the work done within the timeframe they specified, which was a total of three days. On the two walls they did, they have a lifetime guarantee, which is transferable to the first new buyers of the house.

The inspector who came to our house used very high pressure sales tactics to sign us on; in retrospect, I wish we had waited and pursued additional estimates before signing the contract. If Mid-Atlantic truly believes in their product and its value, they should be honest and not use these kinds of tactics.
The workers were independent contractors, I discovered, not employed directly by Mid-Atlantic at all. They were extremely courteous, clean and professional. They also worked like dogs, 12 to 14 hours each day. They appeared to be under a great deal of pressure to get a very difficult and dirty job done with minimal support from the company. Mid-Atlantic called me after the work was completed to ask me how it went. When I asked about the company's treatment of the workers who actually perform the service, the representative got very huffy with me. It's clear that they treat the men who do the work little better than slaves; they have no benefits from the company, and are paid as little as the company can get away with. Meanwhile, Mid-Atlantic charged me top-dollar for these services. I would like to see them take less profit and create better working conditions and with a stronger living wage for the people who actually perform the work. I also would like to see Mid-Atlantic change its high-pressure sales tactics.
The work that was done appears to be well-done, though we haven't yet had any rains to test it out.
