Ryan Smith and his crew did an excellent job with tree/stump removal. Would definitely hire them again and would highly recommend them to family/friends in need of their services. Professional/prompt/wasted no time getting the job done. Clean up after was excellent.

Warren came by to give the estimate and was back to mark the trees for removal the day of the service. The day of the service, Ryan brought his crew! Warren & Ryan were an absolute joy to work with! This was the second time I'd hired them. They were here on time & worked very efficiently until their bucket truck developed a problem. I had the tool Ryan needed to repair it. Work went quickly & they were done in a few hours. Their cleanup was excellent as it was the first time I hired them to do some trimming. Have recommended them to several friends including my church that are in need of their services.

The quote was very good and the work was done well also. The only complaint I would have is that they did not communicate the timeline very well. Overall though, the true thought is this: Would I hire them again, and the answer is yes.

They did a very nice job removing the tree and left the area cleaner then they found it. I appreciated the quality of their work, especially since they were the lowest price as well.

Ryan and his crew did a superb job removing a 25+ foot black walnut tree, grinding stumps and trimming other tall trees in our yard. They were very methodical in their approach to removing the tree and all debris. One could tell safety was of the utmost importance with this company. Our lawn looked better after they were finished than before they began the job! The whole crew was very respectful and courteous. I would not hesitate to use them again and to refer this company to anyone wanting tree removal.

Excellent Company.  More than 20 years ago Lewis Burns Tree Service performed a tree clearing service at our business on East Market Street in York. They did an excellent job at that time. Recently we needed another tree removed and needed major trimming of several other trees. We called Burns Tree Service again and they did a very good job. Burns are easy to contact, have excellent communication skills and are friendly.  The fees are very reasonable.This big job was efficiently done. Even though they used large equipment to reach the top of mature trees, it went smoothly.  They were respectful of our property and the tree look fantastic.It is great to have more light coming into the business.

In the spring of 2014 Ryan came out and evaluated large trees with dead tops, and provided recommendations for how to fell those that were near septic field, house, and driveway. We signed a contract, and work was accomplished in early October. Some difficulty/confusion in settling on a date when we would be home and Ryan's crew had a slot in their schedule. Once that was accomplished, everything flowed smoothly. Crew showed up on agreed date, on time, work went as planned. Crew was skilled, safe, and polite. Tree climbing and rope work was needed to avoid damage to structures; it was accomplished flawlessly. Trees came down, were sectioned and removed. Work site was cleaned. No damage to property. I am pleased with the service provided, and recommend them highly.

From the time we first contacted Lewis Burns, we had an immediate response and the work was contracted within a few days. The crew stayed on task for two days and worked as quietly as can be expected when tree removal is going on. Since we were also having new sidewalk put in place at the same time by Rick Spealman Construction, it was necessary for the and quot;tree guysand quot; to communicate well with the and quot;concrete guysand quot;...and it all went amazingly well. We knew beforehand that we can expect this tree service to do topnotch work since we had used Lewis Burns four previous times, most of them being for major cutting jobs. Lewis and his crew are very skilled in their work and professional in their manner. We would use no other tree service but them.

I used them consistently for many years for multiple properties. Around 2 years ago, the owner came to do an estimate to work on 5 trees in a row. We identified specific limbs on a pin oak that needed to remain to provide shade for a deck. They cut the limbs anyway. The issue was that the owner forgot the notes and the workers started the work without him. The owner got obstinate, belligerent and accused me of not wanting to pay my bill. He pulled out a bush at a different property and accused me of trying to get out of paying it, also. It was his error, the property was not mine where they pulled the bush. They had no flexibility and would not listen to me. He knew he made a mistake. It was just not a good experience. I had my drive repaved by them 4 years ago and I am currently looking for someone else to re-coat their work. Before the project their responsiveness grade would have been an A, after the project it is a F. He was affable, easy and congenial before. Completely different after the project.

The entire transaction took place in a way you'd like all such dealings to take place. Ryan rang our bell and asked if we were thinking about having some tree work done. I was focused on one tree in particular and asked for a quote on that tree and a separate quote on all three trees in the front of the house. I held the quote for a week or so and later asked Ryan to return and provide a quote including the trees at the rear of my property. He returned, I got a quote and we agreed on a start date. Ryan explained that when they returned they would work until they completed the job using five or more workers. They arrived as agreed, performed the work agreed to, were great to interact with, caused no damage to my or my neighbors property (my neighbors driveway and a portion of his lawn were crossed to access the rear of my house), factored in specific requests from my wife, and other than the fine work they did and their sign, left no evidence that they and their equipment had been there.

We are very happy with the results. The workmen were very careful with the project, safe and got the tree down without any damage to the adjacent building.

I called Lewis Burns Tree Service about 2:00 pm and by 8:00 pm the job had been completely accomplished to my complete satisfaction. Ryan Smith led this effort with the help of another employee. They were very polite and professional. They worked quickly and efficiently. They thoroughly cleaned up all areas where work was performed. I am glad that I selected them and I will not hesitate to use them again.

Mr Burns came to my home within two days of my initial contact to give an estimate on the work I wanted done. His written estimate was done on site with clear direction on payment expectations should we accept the bid. We wanted the wood cut in 18" pieces, we would do the splitting and we wanted all branches left since we have a wood burning furnace. He did all work as requested. Mr Burns has a great sense of humor. He and his crew teased one another throughout the day but never disrespected one another or compromised each others safety. I got the impression they enjoyed their job and one another. They worked efficiently throughout the day and were done in 6 hours. I got three bids and while they were all close, his was the lowest. I would highly recommend their service.

Great - no problems

They came and talked to me abouit what they were going to do. They consulted with me during the process to make sure they were doing what I wanted. They used the grinder on the limbs etc. as they removed them. They cleaned up everything before they left my property.

The owner was reliable and did a good job. He charged fairly and was easy to work with. He had the right equipment to do the job safely. I will use them again in the future.

The employees were very professional at all times and were respectful of all the surrounding areas. All remnants of their work was promptly removed.
