Clint Lehr provides helpful suggestions on what someone should do to lengthen the and quot;lifeand quot; of their toilet and/or prevent problems (i.e. don't use those clorox and quot;hockey puckand quot; cleaners tabs that are sold one or two to the pack and are usually added to the tank). If his schedule is not too busy, he will also look at other related problems you throw at him while he is taking care of your main problem (plumbing-related, of course).
When it seemed as if and quot;snakingand quot; the toilet the 2nd time was not successful, he suggested that I might want to think about getting a better toilet AND negotiated a price that essentially eliminated the costs of previous visit (his father's) and his current visit and just had me pay for the toilet and its installation! I felt this was pretty fair and decent on his part. He said he would get the toilet that day and install it the next. He kept to this schedule and installed the toilet quickly. It was a well-known, brand name toilet, better than what I had before. I asked him to check the status of the toilet in the half-bath in the basement (not part of the original visit) and he did this also. He also checked the and quot;trapsand quot; outside to make sure the water in the pipes leading to the main sewage system flowed effectively, not sluggishly with each press of the and quot;flushand quot; handle on the toilet.
He doesn't just limit his problem and quot;analysisand quot; to the local problem at hand, but traces it thoroughly from the and quot;presumedand quot; source of the issue to where the problem may have originated or, in this case, the sewage and quot;trapsand quot; located just outside our home in the back of the house.

I called Lehr's Plumbing when I realized that my water heater was leaking and flooding my basement. Clint Lehr came within hours and replaced my water heater, disposed of the defective equipment, and saved my basement from further water damage. His work was quick, clean and impressive. By responding so quickly, I was able to avoid a larger and more costly issue such as water damage to my basement and other appliances in the area. I will definitely use them in the future. Excellent work.

He gave us the next available appointment time/date and came on time. Replaced only the minimum parts that needed replacement after assessing the problem. Tim Lehr has passed down the day-to-day operations to his son. A good natured person who gets the job done in a timely manner and sometimes finds other problems owner might not have been aware of (not to pad the bill; adjusted our low water pressure the last time he was here and didn't charge us).
