Install Tech

I had an absolutely awful experience with Install Tech, and I want to warn others. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher and was explicitly told that it would be installed on the day of delivery. Instead, they dumped it on my porch and left, forcing me to wait for another installation appointment. I was then given a date for today (Monday)—I waited the whole day for the installer, only for no one to show up. Hours into the scheduled time frame, I finally got a call saying the installer was “sick” and that I would now have to wait four more days. When I told Ben, the manager, that I have a family and have already been handwashing dishes for nearly a month, he dismissively told me it wouldn’t be a big deal to do it for four more days. This is beyond unacceptable. They blatantly misled me about installation, wasted my time, and treated me with complete disregard. I let them know I’ll be reporting this to Costco and making sure people know how they treat their customers. Avoid Install Tech at all costs.

Install tech is horrible. They are very dishonest in how they do things and the customer service was deplorable. They were incredibly rude to me etc. buyer beware.

Even though the vendor we purchased a new dishwasher from didn’t do the best job getting us our dishwasher within the timeframe we expected, Install Tech was extremely helpful in scheduling our installation during an unusually busy time for our family.

They were on time, pleasant to deal with and answered my questions.  No leaks (yea) after they were done!  They cleaned up after themselves and took the old water heater away.   This job was done by them as part of a Sears Protection Plan, therefore I didn't have to pay for it.   I  previously had Install Tech to permanently mount 3 window air conditioners.  If I need other work performed, I would call them to do it.

Install Tech came and looked at the dishwasher and showed us how he was going to do the job. He took out the old dishwasher. He is going to be replacing some wood work that had corroded next to the washer and to install the new washer soon. He was exactly on time. He did what he had to do quickly. I thought he was very professional. He was not much of a talker, but he did the work. He was professional.

They did an excellent job.  Where we bought it, they had free installation, so we didn’t pay for it.  They came in; they worked quickly, promptly, and cleaned up the area.  They had to make some changes, which they did quickly and efficiently.  They had to do a minor change in the plumbing.  They did charge us some money for that, but it was quite reasonable; they charged us $35 for that.  They checked it before they left and were courteous.  The quality appears to be great.  They explained everything.  They came in the timeframe they were supposed to and they were very professional.

They were contracted through the home improvement store. The dishwasher was about $870.00 or $890.00 and the installation was about $40.00. Because of an error on my part since I never had replaced a dishwasher before, I didn't realize that the dishwasher we bought like most dishwashers was an under the counter dishwasher and we didn't have a counter for it to go under. Theoretically it might have been possible, but they realized that it wouldn't have been something that anybody would have been happy with. They didn't do the job at that time but they came back and they didn't charge extra for coming back the second time. I was really impressed by that. They were very good natured about that fact. It was really my fault and my ignorance. It wasn't anybody else's fault, but they were not cross at me. The work overall went very well. There weren't any problems or issues with the two guys that came out.
