Damian was professional, knowledgable and thorough.  He was very patient and answered all of my husbands questions and took his time going through the house.  After the inspection he emailed the report the same day.

They were very thorough and professional. I was there with the guy when he did the service. I would utilize them again.

Todd was very thorough in explaining exactly what I needed to get done. He didn't rush the process at all. He took his time and paid good attention to detail in each section of my home. He knew my budget and took that into considersation as well.

Did the inspection on a property I purchased for rental use. The inspector arrived on time, was knowledgable about old homes, (my property was built in 1898) and explained to me about some of the old features (like the summer kitchen fireplace), allowed me to tag along, answered my questions and certainly was professional about the whole process.

I was satisfied but in hindsight, I do wish the inspector was more thourough in explaining to me about some areas he could not inspect due to lack of accessibility and why I should follow up on those areas. I did sign off and that's my own fault for not following up on those areas (particularly the main chimney; not the summer kitchen chimney).

I used them since my realtor arranged for the inspection so I don't know how unbiased the relationship between Morgan Stanley and Homechek is but can not really tell you if they were Good or Excellent due to lack of comparison with other companies. That's why I gave them a C grade for overall experience. The quality and professionalism of the work performed were good enough but not strong enough to pull the grade up from a C.

This is a followup. Be sure to get all your electrical, furnance inspection done within 90 days of purchasing the property. I made that mistake of not doing so. A year later, my electrician CAS Electric showed me what should have been caught by the inspector, the panel box was not working 100 percent. My breakers were piggybacking on one side of the power panels (100 Amps, 2 power panels, one which was burned out) and some of the breakers were burned out as well. Also there was corrosion that should have been caught). I walked with the inspector but do not remember if he actually looked behind the cover of the panel. The report said it was in good working condition. They lost their chance to do any future electrical inspection for me but they will still do regular structural inspection and I will do my own radon testing.

As a result of this, I had to downgrade my score from C to D. I am a rental property owner so this is a big deal for me since I have multiple properties.

Todd showed up on time and went right to work. I was surprised the level of detail in his inspection and report. He never showed that he was tired of my endless questions. It got to the point where I was ready to be done but, he had more to check out.
