HORRIBLE AND COSTLY TO US!

Responded within a week and finished the job in one day.  He did an excellent job.

Overcharged - I feel - an elderly widow (my Mom) by giving a high quote ($4,000.00) to cut down, remove and clean up area around a split tree. Performed the work poorly (left a lot of debris and damaged her patio and yard). "Repaired" concrete but patch is uneven and  obviously not done correctly. When she attempted to talk to Mr. Doudrick he became loud and she felt he was trying to bully her. She decided not to pursue things further because she felt very uncomfortable dealing with him. Subsequently learned that the work should've been able to be done for $1,500.00 - $2,000.00. I realize that the buyer should beware but she was panicky at the thought that the tree might fall on her house and was eager to agree to the contract - by the way, the cost was not higher because it was a "rush" job as the work started several days after the contract was signed.

They were friendly and thorough. They cleaned up after themselves.

Had a big issue with the concrete. The guy in charge of that part asked if we wanted to widen our front steps leading up to porch because it would be easier to frame and pour. We okayed it, then afterward Mr Doudrick (the owner) wanted us to pay a lot more money for the "extra" concrete that we asked for. He was extremely rude and nasty about it but finally backed off because we absolutely refused, given that his guy suggested it with no mention of any price adjustment. This step repour cracked badly in two places within a few weeks and we were told it was "supposed to do that". An area where we had some unwanted concrete removed was to be filled in with "screened topsoil"; the rocky crud they used made mowing a nightmare.  They were supposed to replace two windows in our garage but forgot to do it, but when we got the bill the windows were still on it. I called and asked for a revised bill, but never received one. I called again and told them we weren't going to pay until we got the adjusted bill. It took them over two years to finally send it, but only after Mr Doudrick called and told us we owed interest for all the time which had elapsed. He was even more rude and nasty about this and it took some shouting to get a word in to explain that they had never sent the corrected bill. Finally they did, we paid it, and that was that. I would never use this company again, and would advise anyone considering them to think again.
