Bi-Glass Systems

I am not sure if they still operate. We can buy 5000 nasty cheap vinyl windows for $5 at a big box store but these guys retrofit historic windows in historic homes and make them energy efficient. They have their own special systems for this. They can rebuild windows. They can put efficient glass in if we wish and still retain the exterior appearance. They are highly creative, highly efficient and very professional. It breaks my heart to see people in older homes rip out all their windows and put in the cheap vinyl windows. It is a shame. If a window needs to be touched up or if there is a leak, these guys measure every thing and take the window out. They put in energy efficient cracks on the top, bottom and sides. When they re install them, they look like new. We can snap them out. We can fold them in and clean the outside. When they did the upper storey windows, I had them put in foam windows which look like the old fashioned 1920 windows. I can hang them from the inside. It is a very clever system. We can essentially turn the original window into a modern, energy efficient window at the same cost as some cheap vinyl window. They take measurements first and make all the tracks in the workshop. Then they bring along a mobile workshop, park it outside and do all the fine tuning of the window right there. They did 7 windows in less than a day and they were air tight.
