The work went fine.
This was just a small job this time.
I use this dealer on a regular basis, and am always satisfied.
After dropping the car off, the dealership called to ask if we knew our left hand turn signal was malfunctioning, and why we hadn't called this item to their attention in previous visits. When I reminded our service manager that they had and quot;repairedand quot; the turn signal several times in previous visits, she seemed surprised. They repaired the turn signal, which quickly failed.
When we picked up the car, our service advisor informed us that there had been a small problem with our oil change, and that we might notice the smell of burning oil for a day or two. Our next oil change was done at another garage, which informed us that Apple Subaru had damaged the oil filter threads, which made it difficult to replace the oil filter without an oil leak. That garage also repaired the turn signal, which is still working. We subsequently asked another garage to re-thread the oil filter threads. (Please note that we bought this car new from Apple Subaru, which performed all oil changes up until the discovery of the damaged threads.)
We were told the compass was working, and didn't need to be repaired. We were told that the the compass had been turned off, and it could be easily turned back on. We later discovered that not to be true. The compass had not been repaired.
The only work done correctly was the repair of the sun visor, which required the replacement of the whole assembly.
