I called and left a message saying that we needed an estimate on a slate roof repair because we had a leak coming into our house. I also mentioned that I thought we had already used them before in 1998. I received a call back that day and was told that even though this was a case of needing help quickly, the soonest someone could come out would be the first week in May, a month away. They did in fact do a major costly repair for us in 1998, but since they could not help us in time for us to not incur further damage to our ceilings on our third floor we have had to give our business to another company. If you are needing quick attention this is not the company to call.

Kept advised of any changes, none happened. Showed up timely, and did a very detailed job of what was wrong and what was needed. Advised estimate would be e-mailed in about a week, it was.While the job has not beed decided yet,he is near the top of the list.Very professional and a nice guy.

They were the only company who got back to me out of the three that I contacted. He told me everything looked ok and what he would have done if it was his own roof. I appreciated his honesty. He said he would be back and he could fix it within a week. They were responsive and came when they said they would. I would use them again in the future.

They came when promised and on time, worked every day (weather permitting), and completed the job without interruption. They even came once on a Saturday when weather was expected to be nice. They did all of the work exactly as specified. Work looks great and was done with care and attention to detail. The workers were all nice guys, polite, and courteous. They were willing to patiently answer any questions we had and they took time to point out and explain any problems they found. They cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them without hesitation and will certainly use them again. The only possible downside is that they tend to be very busy, so it can be hard to get on their calendar.

I would use them again in the future. I have used them for about 15 years.

Received an estimate about two weeks after I called to request one. Asked for the quote quickly and got it back within three days. Price was competitive, but got a slightly better deal and fast start date elsewhere.

They did a great job! They were very hardworking guys who did what they set out to do.

He said he was busy, but I said I wasn’t in a rush. I signed the quote and sent it back. He calls back immediately and has been very punctual so far. He’s very warm, pleasant, and easy to talk to. He’s very up front, and his price is reasonable. He actually broke it down into portions for various parts of the project.

I asked for bids from 8 roofers within reasonable driveng distance, from Angies list. 5/8 replied: One of these was not taking new customers. Only 2/8 provided bids. Hoolahan was the most detailed with various options, not the cheaper fo the two but the options made it a better choice. There was a time lag in doing the work but I was informed upfront about the delay and his crew was here within a couple of days of the original forecast. The work, which was quite extensive given the terrain, was done quickly and professionally. As far as I can tell to date, it is done well.

I called them july 6th and they returned my call on July 7th. They let me know that they are 3 months behind and didn’t have time to look at my roof. I appreciate that they called me back and were very polite and courteous.

They did a good job, but it did take them a few months to get to me.

Paul Hoolahan came when expected. He climbed a ladder to look at the roof. Then explained what was going on and what needed to be done. The roofing paper was exposed. He said it should be repaired soon. Within a week, he had someone out to do the work. He sent the estimate and invoice by email. Paul and his office staff were very pleasant. Everything went very smoothly.

They were very nice to work with and the staff is lovely. We've recently had some leaks I had to call about. They agreed to come out and fix the work.

They did a fantastic job. The clean up went very well. The prior winter I called them and they came out on a cold day and cleaned the ice and snow from the roof.

We had to wait for an extensive period of time for them to get around to the project, but it wasn?t a major project. We had initially contacted the roofer to come out and give us an estimate by the end of May. We finally got him to do the work in the beginning of September. I chose them because of the reviews I read about them online. They also called me back and came out to give me an estimate. There were several other folks who never called me back. The roofer made me very aware through the whole process that he was very backed up. It wasn?t an immediate concern. I just wanted it addressed before the winter. He was very good and accommodating. He called me about two weeks beforehand when he knew that he could schedule the work. He was very punctual and professional about it. He called me again about a week beforehand to tell me about when he was going to be there and to tell me if the weather was good. He showed up as he said. He kept in contact with us. We signed the contract and made the deposits. He then got back to us a few months later. His price was competitive with one other estimate that we did receive. The quality of service was very good. His responsiveness was certainly better compared to what I got from the other folks. His punctuality was good. He showed up when he said he was going to. He was very professional. His crew was very clean and I couldn?t even tell they were there. I would certainly consider him in the future.

For what it was, it went extremely well.

Paul came out when promised, helped get our handyman access to the roof, and then lent a hand in figuring out what the problem was. It turned out not to be the vent line at all, but Paul understood the nature of how we had thought it was, was very helpful and understanding, and came to our aid in a crisis.

Contacted Hoolan and was told it would be a while before they could do any work. that was fine. they came out and did an estimate for the damage from the storm. I have filed an insurance claim and want to get the roof repaired. I contacted them b/c of their good ratings on Angie's List. However, they never sent me an estimate. I followed u p2 times with calls and never got a response. I do not understand why they would go through the trouble of coming to my house to do an estimate and then never actually send it to me. I really want to get my repairs done and was willing to wait until they had time in their schedule. My experience with them has been very disappointing.

They are really very good. I thought the price was good and very competitive. The insurance guy who went up on the roof to look at the winter damage said it was a very good flat roof. He is listed on a national slate roof website, that's why I chose him. I have a 90 year old house with a 90 year old slate roof so I wanted someone who could do a good job. This winter was especially tough, but they managed to set my appointment and he showed up on time. It took a week to get me the estimtate, but they were very good. They are the only ones I'd let up on my roof. Once you find someone who does slate repair well, you wanna keep using them. He becomes familiar with the roof and the age of the roof.

Mr. Hoolihan was very professional. It did take a few weeks to get an estimate since they were busy due to all the roof and gutter damage due to our severe winter. We ended up not using him because we went back to our builder since our house was less than 5 years old, but i was satisfied with his estimate and expertise and would not hesitate to use him in the future.

Although inundated with work from the snow storm, he responded quickly to an email inquiry. (I think the company prefers email over phone calls - his voice mailbox was full by phone). Based on his overall Angie's A rating already, I told him I didn't need an estimate first; fortunately my insurance company didn't require it either. He was able to do the work within a week of my call. Highly responsive, well done and good cleanup,

Paul and his assistant arrived on 02/19/2010 and proceeded with the long handeled roof sweeps to remove the snow. He was honest enough to admit he did not repair Awnings, but assured me that if our roof caused a problem because of the ice and snow melt. to give him a call! He and his partner than removed any of the ice and snow from the area it fell in.

Paul Hoolahan came over as promised and gave the best quote. He was upfront about the length of time it would take before he could get started. The roofers arrived in mid November and finished in Mid January. The weather was prohibitive and the reason for the extended down time. There were a couple of weekends when the crew could have worked had they wanted to, (Perhaps they were busy else where) The jobsite was cleaned up everyday before the crew left. When it comes time for us to replace the front half of the roof I will definitely call Paul Hoolahan.
