"Groundworks did an excellent job for us. Everyone was so professional and we know we received quality work for a reasonable price. It has been over a year since our waterproofing project in the fall of 2023. At that time we had “nuisance leaks” in our basement but they were becoming more and more problematic. We hired Groundworks to waterproof our basement. The winter spring and especially the summer of 2024 were very wet where we live. We were so proud of our lovely dry basement. It is now the summer of 2025 with lots of rain but there have been no leaks since Groundworks completed our basement project. We are very happy with their work!"

"The company responded in 24 hrs after my phone call, gave me an estimate and explained the process on how it would be completed. The crew responded the next day, raised the floor within an hour , patched the concrete holes and cleaned up as it was before the arrived. the crew was very professional. The hole job was done in two hours and I was able to use the same day."

"I contacted Independent Construction for a new roof estimate. They came out the next day and providing me with a written estimate for my new roof. Two weeks after hiring them, they showed up and removed my old roof, installed my new roof, and cleaned up everything in one day! I am very pleased with their work, and I would recommend them."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The total drying time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to harden fully to prevent the concrete slab from shifting under added weight. You should avoid walking on the concrete or placing heavy items like furniture or vehicles on the surface until it has fully set. Your concrete contractor can provide a precise timeline. As a point of comparison, if you opt for polyjacking, the polyurethane foam can dry in minutes, but it's recommended to wait about an hour before use.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with. Your sunken concrete issue will likely return if you don’t couple polyjacking with proper drainage to prevent future soil movement and sinking.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The exact time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it must fully harden to ensure that added weight from walking, furniture, or vehicles won't shift the concrete slab. A professional contractor can advise you on when the surface is safe to use. For comparison, if you use polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can dry in just a few minutes, but it's best to wait about an hour before use.

Charges correlate with surface size, settlement depth, and access, often yielding significant savings over concrete replacement.
