"Rich and his team did a fantastic job!! They pruned a 50ft Pin Oak that was riddled with dead branches, top to bottom, but also removed unsafe branches that extended out over the street and our 40ft home. They also pruned a 50ft Tulip tree to allow for more sunlight to internal branches for more efficient growth. Neighbors agree both trees look 100% healthier and beautiful to look at. Rich also removed a 40 ft Spruce Pine between our home and the neighbors, in close proximity (11ft), by donning his climbing gear and dropping the tree in no time. It is a science. Wood stains last anywhere from two to five years, depending on exposure to the elements, your local climate, the type of stain, and the surface it’s on. The number of coats you need to apply when whitewashing a surface depends on how opaque you want the final product to be. If you're going for a transparent, barely there look, a single coat or two may suffice. For fuller coverage, you'll want to use multiple coats. Another option is to use a less diluted paint to get a thicker coverage.
If your cedar fence is new, don’t delay. Unlike treated pine, you don’t need to wait months for the wood to dry out for it to accept stain. With cedar, the sooner, the better. Seal cedar within two weeks of installation to prevent the sun from fading its red color.
