" I am SO pleased with the work that was done on my home. The painting job is beautiful! Each of the workers were professional. They were very helpful in responding to anything i asked them to consider. They worked well together and they were eager to go the extra mile. I feel fortunate to have such a group paint my house.
Many times when people work on homes there is a lot of clean up to do when the job is done. My property looked better after Roos Painters were there than it did before they came. They were wonderful.
Each of the painters at one time or another mentioned that they enjoyed painting and their work shows that to be reality. They take care and pride in the work they do. (plus they are helpful people)
I am thankful for this team of painters. Michael and Penny Roos are careful about the pricing and details with the job. They are honest and hard working professionals with no surprises.
Roos Hand R is a great company with excellent workers. I could not recommend them more highly. I love the house and it is in such good shape now that it has been painted and repaired correctly.

"The three-gentlemen team I had from Moving Ahead Services were exactly that: gentlemen and a team. They were pleasant, polite, and very efficient. They were on time and were done with the job before I knew it. They clearly had worked together before, and they made the process seem so quick and easy. I had a fair amount of fragile items and had no damage. They even put together my king size Amish-made bed frame with drawers for me, which I had not expected nor asked them to do. The moving process is a stressful one for most of us nowadays, and mine was of no exception. So being able to sleep in my own bed that night absolutely made my day. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing moving services with efficiency and no added stress."

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

When choosing a drywall anchor, consider the weight of the object you're hanging and how much weight the anchor will need to support. The heavier the weight, the stronger the anchor you'll need. You’ll find the weight capacity on the packaging when shopping for anchors.

Also, remember that you can use more than one anchor when hanging something on the wall. If you're using multiple anchors, divide the object weight by the number of anchors to determine how much each will need to support. If you need help deciding which drywall anchor to use, you can hire a handyperson to hang your objects.

For maximum stability, install grab bars on wall studs, as this will adequately support the weight. However, if you don't have access to studs, you can get by with wall anchors. If opting for the latter, choose specialty hollow wall anchors.

Most Cape Cod houses are two stories tall at the peak, although they’re considered one-and-a-half stories tall because the steep roof pitch cuts off a portion of the living space on the second story. Unless you raise the roof on your Cape Cod house to add a dormer, the interior rooms upstairs will lose some usable living space to the sloped ceilings.

It’s best to use two screws to secure deck boards into every joist. Securing the boards to every joist makes the deck more structurally sound, while using two screws on the outer sides of the boards can help prevent warping and cupping.

When hanging a door frame, it’s recommended that you use screws, not nails. Screws are more secure, easier to tighten, and easier to remove if you need to adjust the frame. On average, the cost to replace a door frame is about $400, but you can save on labor costs if you’re confident in your ability to DIY the project.
