"We had cracks in the dyed mortar of the bricks above our garage. Grady took the time to match the color, even with the color having aged 10 years, and you would not even be able to tell that there was new mortar. If your project is anything like ours, you will not be disappointed."

"We recently had our living room and loft painted. Tyler’s prep work was perfect; he repaired holes and cracks that are now completely invisible. He also assisted us in matching up three different colors for the living room and loft—all of which we love and are glad for his assistance. Everything looks like a brand-new house."

"Everything came out great and his price was reasonable. The shop was painted four years ago and there is no chipping of paint or anything, They cleaned everything up when they were done as well. I would highly recommend him and I would hire him again."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Failing to repair damaged stucco can lead to significant problems. Cracks can grow and deepen, allowing water and moisture to get behind the stucco. This moisture intrusion can cause water damage, structural issues, and mold or mildew growth. Delaying repairs will likely cost more in the long run as the damage worsens, so it's best to repair your stucco as soon as you notice any signs of damage, such as cracks, holes, or discoloration.

Cracks in the chimney can be very serious, depending on their location and size. Even small cracks can become serious over time if left unrepaired. Cracks allow heat and moisture to deteriorate your chimney and harmful carbon monoxide gas to seep into your home. Small cracks can often be caulked, while large cracked sections may require full replacement.

While your stucco repair professional can diagnose exactly what needs repair, it can be helpful to know what to look out for in the early stages to avoid significant reconstruction. Some common stucco repairs include:

  • Cracks

  • Holes

  • Ceiling repair

  • Chimney repair

  • Stucco removal

  • Discoloration

  • Caulking

  • Water damage

  • Foundation repair

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.

When hiring for your project, look for licensed, insured contractors with experience in stucco removal. Ask them for references, review their past stucco removal projects, and request detailed, written estimates. A reputable stucco removal contractor will explain the entire process, outline all costs, and ensure proper disposal and compliance with local codes.
