I can't think of enough great things to say about Don! Although he did not do any actual "work" for me and I did not pay him anything, he spent a substantial amount of time advising me. I called Don at 5:00 on a Friday, desperately worried. He reassured me and told me to send pictures via email. I did, and he got back to me that night with some preliminary thoughts and said he would like to take a look in person. He said he would be able to come Monday morning, and gave me a time window. He also texted me 20 minutes before he arrived to let me know he was on the way. After thoroughly inspecting, he determined that we did not need his services. He gave me a detailed plan for correcting the problem myself, which he followed up with a written plan via email. He asked me to let him know how the project progressed, and to send him pictures when we got the wall open to make sure there were no surprises. With his advice, I felt confident to tackle the demolition myself. I emailed him pictures of the strange substance I found inside the wall and, through several exchanges, we determined it was benign. Don seems truly interested in helping people. Throughout the process, Don was friendly, helpful, honest, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, reassuring, responsive and prompt. It was truly a pleasure to deal with him. He makes good use of technology to provide better service, too. He could have just taken my money to provide service I didn't need, or he could have left me on my own to deal with it. He did neither. This was the kind of experience that can restore your faith in humanity. He went above and beyond expectations. Although we did not need his services, I would wholeheartedly recommend him and will know exactly who to call if we ever have the misfortune of having a bigger mold problem.

I am writing this report the day of the assessment and will begin implementing Don's plan this weekend. I just felt I had to write this review immediately b/c like i stated above, Don saved me thousands of dollars (which would have meant canceling our summer vacation!) gave me a solution to my problem and did not charge anything! Having a mold problem can be scary for any home owner, and there are definitely companies who are willing to exploit that fear to make a buck. Air Tech is not one of those companies. If you want a comprehensive assessment and solution to your mold problems, explained by a friendly expert in a knowledgeable and yet straightforward and logical way go with Air Tech. Save your money for a vacation!

Don was absolutely fantastic! From the first time I spoke with him on the phone to the inspection visit he was a wealth of knowledge and pure professionalism. He followed up when he said he would, he was happy to talk to me and answer all of my questions. I never felt rushed on the phone or during the inspection visit. He could have easily quoted me to do all of the work for the job, and I never would have known the difference - but he was 100% honest and said that this job wasn't big enough to need his services and that we would be able to do the work ourselves. He even told me step by step while he was at my home on how to fix the problem. Then he even went so far as to email me a step by step document on how to fix the problem ourselves. I am so appreciative - not only did he save me a ton of money in repairs and labor costs, but he also gave me peace of mind. It's so refreshing to find such an honest company who isn't just out for themselves and making money. I would recommend him to anyone and if I ever had a problem in the future, Don would be the first person I would call! So pleased!

Don was excellent! Called him he returned my call in a short time. He was booked up until the following week. I explain I needed him before next week due to the home inspection. He fit us in before his first appointment at 8am the next day... Who does that? He was on time very professional and extremely helpful. When you hear Mold you panic, at least I did. Well, Don was great! He was extremely knowledgable about what kind of mold it was and made me feel so much better. With in a couple of days he had the work completed and now we are mold free. The report was very detailed. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Angie's List has already paid for itself many times over by clueing me in on Air Tech--I don't live near their home base, and wouldn't have heard about them without this service. Don was the first person I called for an estimate of my moldy basement, and he was by far the most professional and personable. As many other reviewers have noted, very quickly after the home visit Don emailed me a comprehensive report, complete with pictures. Believe me, I referred to this report quite a bit; it was a huge educational aid/support. Don warned that emptying the basement before it could be treated could be overwhelming, so when the stress was high his advice was invaluable; it helped me to keep everything in proper perspective. Don's an old-fashioned businessman--he is true to his word, an excellent communicator, and DOES show up on time as promised. So rare in today's world. His brother-in-law, who actually performed the mold remediation, was also noteworthy; as soon as I met him I knew we were in good hands. I have already recommended this company to others. You need someone whom you could trust when you have mold; I feel I made a wonderful choice when I hired Air Tech!

FANTASTIC!!! Don and team were excellent. We were buying a foreclosure home that had sat empty for a few years with a moisture problem in the basement. Result was significant mold in the partially finished basement, lesser degree in the kitchen. Don conducted a thorough initial inspection, explained the extent of the problem in each area, explained how and why mold grows in homes, answered all questions. We had a detailed written estimate in less than a day. The seller (bank) was handling the remediation, so also obtained a second estimate that had the same findings and was similar in cost. We were very happy that they decided to use Don. He was highly recommended to us by our agent and also a friend who had a similar situation purchasing a foreclosed home. Once the bank agreed to remediate, Don truly went out of his way to get us on the schedule so we could close on our house and move in knowing it was safe. They did a fantastic, thorough job, includng pulling out all of the destroyed finishings in the basement (carpet, drop ceiling, cabinets and built-ins), treating and cleaning the underlying surfaces, treating and cleaning the ktchen (luckily problem there was surface only and all was salvageable). Passed follow-up tests with flying colors. We've been in the house for several months now and are fully confident the problem is fixed. He also alerted us to a potential future problem in the attic and told us how to take care of it (will only be an issue if we put on a new roof with a different type of shingle). I would highly recommend Don to anyone that has or suspects a mold issue.

I was selling an estate house and during the inspection there was mold detected in the attic that the buyers wanted addressed. I contacted Don to come and take a look and give me an estimate on the cost to treat the attic. Don was very punctual in returning my call and scheduling an appt. He was in my area within 2 days of my call. The moment he walked into the gameroom he said he could smell mold. Now I had known the gameroom had an odor that started after all the torrential rains we had this summer but I had no idea it was mold. You couldn't see it with your eyes but when he shined his light on it you could see it was everywhere. This was a really large gameroom. I was sick. I thought it was going to mean the end of my sale. Don was very professional and made something so scary seem like nothing at all. He took pictures and explained how mold grows and what causes it. The fact that the house had been vacant is what caused it. The good news was it was totally treatable. We scheduled the work to be done the following week. The work was completed in the attic and the gameroom and someone came by the next day to take the air samples. The treatment was successful and my house sold without incident. Don provided instructions on how to continue to keep the rooms mold free. I passed all onto the new buyers. I hope I never have to call on Don again but should the need arise I would not hesitate to use Air Tech Environmental once again.

DID: return call in a timely manner, arrived on time at scheduled time for a free evaluation, competed a thorough examination of the problem area, gave suggestions to remediate problem, provide contact information and offered to answer any future questions DID NOT: try to sell services that were not needed!!!! Don knows about mold and mold remediation. He is honest and professional. I would highly recommend him. I had another company inspect the same area. They wanted to do major demolition of walls and would have charged thousands of dollars. I decided to get a second opinion before committing to their work. I am SO glad I did!

Don Culp was very responsive all throughout the process. He came within 24 hours of my call to assess the situation and provided a detailed report on his analysis of the problem and what was necessary to resolve the issue. The report was issued within 24 hours of his visit, and was very complete, including photos. Whenever I had a question I would email Don, and had an answer within a matter of hours. We had some scheduling problems on our end and he was very accommodating when we had to re-schedule the job. The people who actually did the remediation work actually arrived a bit earlier than we expected on the day the work was scheduled to be done. We left the house and returned when the work was complete. The work area was left neat and clean. My only disappointment was that the workers didn't call, as I asked them to, to let me know when they were leaving. Not a big issue. The day after the work was done a representative of an independent lab arrived right on time to take air samples to ensure that the mold was, in fact, gone. We got the lab report within the 3 day window that was promised, and the results showed that the problem was resolved. We had one other quote for this work which was a bit higher, and the report was not as well done, but I felt as though this other company would also have done an adequate job.

Don was great..Made contact with Air Tech shortly after my basement took in water on July 10th..Water came in my window wells/glass blocks windows..Don called me back shortly after I called Air Tech...Don came out and sent me the estimate/bid thru my e-mail with in hours...I had many questions during the next couple of weeks, Don always answered them completely, simply & quickly..The work was completed 8/5/13...and the air test was completed on 8/6/13 with the excellent results coming in on 8/9/13. My only concern was the price..I do not know how long the process took since I had to leave the house for the day..When I returned at 4PM the work had been completed. The other (2) old remediation companies I called either did not give me a bid or never called back. So I do not know if Don's prices were high or not...But he guarantee's no mold for 2 years..YEAH!

Don was great. He showed me all the places that there was mold in our basement (many places that I missed) and told me how to take care of it. He explained that the mold wasn't that bad and that I would save a lot of money doing it myself. He walked me through the steps I would need to take and told me what products to buy. Don also made himself available by phone for questions that I had since our consultation. I would definitely use him in the future and would recommend him to others.

Overall a great company to work with- very punctual, professional, etc. House was very clean following the remediation. Good communication and excellent results. I would highly recommend Air-Tech..

I contacted Don through Angie's list, he was very cordial and set up a convenient appointment. He showed up on time and inspected the attic. He told me we had summer and winter mold. We set up app't to treat and seal the attic, He also set up the inspector to check the service. Everything went well and as expected. It passed and we received our certification on July 3, 2013. We do have to install a central roof vent to eliminate the mold problem in the future.

Don came out to do a free mold evaluation of my attic and basement. He determined that there was not a mold issue in the attic, and the basement had only a minimal amount of mold (I could barely see it in most areas that he found). Rather than trying to pressure me into an expensive job, Don told me how I could clear the mold out myself and that I should use a dehumidifier to keep the issue from returning. He followed up by sending me an email with detailed instructions. I did the mold removal myself, which wasn't complicated but was definitely time consuming. After that, and the continued use of the dehumidifer, my basement air is much better (no more musty basement smell).

Don was knowledgeable, very professional and helpful for this inspection. I was really worried about the mold I saw and he explained what I could do and what he needed to do in a way that really reduced my anxiety. His follow-up report was thorough and a great reminder of all that he mentioned. I look forward to working with him when it is time for the actual remediation.

It was overall a good experience. We knew that the mold in the house was a problem and were happy to have it removed. He offered solutions to not have it happen again and removed all the mold. The air was tested the following day and it came back all clear. The best part is that the company guarantees their work for 2 years. It is expensive, but worth the money for peace of mind.

BELIEVE THE HYPE! Don Culp and his workers gave stellar service. I had mold in the basement. Don came by and did a free assessment and gave a very detailed report and estimate. After some time and preparation of the basement on my part, we scheduled a date. Don's worker came by and did the cleanup and mold remediation. Both he and Don were consistently helpful, courteous, on-time. My basement is much more usable and healthy now. There was a small mixup with the billing amount and after I emailed Don about it, there was a check for the difference in my mailbox the next day. All contractors should try to be this good.

I cannot begin to tell you the level of comfort and relief these two brothers have provided me. I was a wreck, my bedroom ceiling collapsed and revealed a large area of black mold that had been growing in between the layers on drywall and plaster. Black mold is very toxic and i was already aware of its dangers, therefore i needed a professional. I purchased an angieslist membership specifically for this reason. I was calmed the first time i spoke with Don. He reassured me that everything would be alright and that everything was going to be taken care of. We set up the date, then they got to work. I was at work while the the remediation was in progress. I returned home and met with Bill, Don's brother. He was also such a gem. They worked hard to rid my home of the black mold! I hope that i never need them again however if i ever do, there will be no question who I will use. My world is better because of them!!! Thank you soo much guys i appreciate you, and the work you have done for me.!!!!!

Mold inspection and remediation culminating in a clean test report.

A home inspector found evidence of mold in our upper attic. We then contracted with Air Tech Environmental to perform mold remediation. This was done in a timely and professional manner. Then third party testing was done to verify that the mold remediation was effective. We received a Clearance Certificate indicating that the attic had passed the test. We were advised that further work must be done in the attic to improve air flow and reduce humidity levels to prevent mold growth in the future.

Don, was very prompt and professional. He provided a detailed follow-up report within a few days with his recommendations for remediation of the situation. He was very helpful and the report was very beneficial for follow-up action.
