The bottom line is that Don came to our house for free to help us assess whether we had an unsafe situation. He was patient with me both on the phone and in our home, explaining how mold growth works, what is considered unsafe and how to avoid mold growth. Thankfully, what I thought might have been mold was not and Don quickly assessed that our situation was not unsafe at all. However, I know that if I ever had any concerns in the future, I would certainly call Don and trust him to remedy the situation.

After inspecting out mold situation in our basement Don made recomendations on a detailed report that was sent to us the same day. His findings are helping us to take actions that will keep our 3 week old son safe. We were pleased with the service

The bottom line is that Don evaluated the air samples and reported there was no mold remediation required. . His work was thorough and prompt (one week time span). His report was concise and thorough. I had googled mold contractors in the Pittsburgh area- there are many out there and many of those I talked to seemed ready to spend our money on mold remediation. Previous Angie list reports indicated that Air Tech Environmental would let you know (based on the facts) if mold remediation was not necessary. So we used Angie's list to select Don Culp as our contractor and we are glad we did!

My husband had called Don Culp on Monday. He was very responsive. He set up an appointment for Wednesday...two days later. He indicated that he would show up at our place between 9:00 am - 10:00 am. On the day of the appointment, he called to pinpoint his exact time of arrival. He showed up did a thorogh inspection of the property and suggested that perhaps as a first step we get our duct work cleaned and sanitized (a service he doesn't offer). He said if the smell still existed after that, we would do an air quality test. He would not take any money for the initial consultation. He was very personal and imformative. My husband really got a good vibe from Don.

i called don on a thurs. after getting in over my head with a mold problem caused by a leaking fridge in a laundry room, one that had gone to the walls and studs beneath. a trip to my doctor had confirmed that removing water soaked plaster and wood with mold on it is best left to the experts, ...... just google...toxic mold or black mold.......... don set up a appointment the next monday at 9 am and he arrived at 9am, don gave me a very detailed explanation of my problem area and said that most of my mold had been removed and to remove the leaking fridge and continue cleaning underneath and my mold will be history.. i felt very confident in his knowledge, he told me that my mold issue was one the epa condones homeowner remedy.. i offered don several times to pay him for at least a service call he politely declined each offer and did offered some much needed advice on my cleaning process. i would reccomend air-tech to all if you want a punctual professinal company to remedy a mold situation that the common person knows very little about .

Each step of the way, his knowledge came into play as he took time to explain techniques any home owner might use to address concerns. Although I didn't need his company's service for any remediation and so the cost to me was nothing, it would be unfair to say that he didn't provide a service for me. This is a fair person who is exceedingly professional and who has a solid grounding in his profession. Use him and you will be very happy with the quality.

Don was great! He called because he was running early and wanted to make sure it was ok to come 45 minutes early. He did his inspection within 20 minutes or less. He then wrote me up a report and e-mailed it to me the very same day.

He was honest and very knowledgeable. He could?ve said we needed work to be done, but he said we didn?t need work. He said what needed to be done could be done on our own without incurring any costs from him.

Dave came to give us an estimate on a moldy basement problem. He made the appointment within a week and showed up on time. After a thorough examination of the basement he told us that it was a mildew problem and suggested things we could do ourselves to remedy the problem. He was very thorough and professional. If you think you have a mold or mildew problem, absolutely call Air Tech Environmental.

We purchased our ranch home in October. During our home inspection prior to buying the house, our inspector confirmed that the discolorations on the walls/paneling in both rooms were inactive mold and we should consider having it professionally eradicated. I contacted Don at Air Tech Environmental in February and he took his time to listen to all of our concerns, especially since we have a child with a respiratory condition. Don was able to come over the next day to provide an estimate. He brought a moisture meter and a camera and inspected our problem areas plus other possible damp spots in the basement. He was extremely thorough in his findings, very detailed in his explanations, and efficient in his use of time. It took him about 35 minutes to make his assessment, and he promised he?d have a report to us that evening. True to his word, we received the report that evening. It was very thorough and easy to understand. He required that we rent a dumpster for the discard of the moldy paneling and old cabinets, and he even gave us a list of companies to contact for this. I?d like to point out that Don has been in the mold business for over 20 years, and his experience level/knowledge attest to this. We got an estimate on this project from another company, and it took that gentleman almost 3 hours to complete/present his findings. He was more focused on putting in several French drains and Tecumseh pumps, and he wasn?t as concerned as we felt necessary about the sensitive handling of the mold. Before we made our decision to go with Air Tech, my husband and I had questions about the proposed work. Each time we wanted to discuss our concerns with Don, he was very easy to reach by phone and he took his time in thoroughly explaining what we wanted to know. Not only did Don tell us what his company would do to remediate the mold, but he gave us recommendations dealing with the outside of our home that would reduce the chance of water coming into the home in the future. We scheduled a day for the work to be done, and Bill and Karen showed up promptly. They were extremely efficient and wonderfully easy to work with. They completed the job a little earlier than expected which was nice, and the third-party company who does air quality testing came as scheduled the next day. We received the results and certificate of completion just as promised. If you have mold issues, Don at Air Tech Environmental is THE MAN to call!

He was fast ,very reasonable and great to work with. I am glad that he uses an outside lab after the work is done to make sure all is safe.

I was doing some renovations on our bedroom and found evidence of a prior water leak in the corner of the room. I removed some drywall and plaster to investigate if there was mold. I found small traces of mold at the bottom of the wall and what appeared to me as evidence of mold within the ceiling. I called Air Tech Environmental on Monday morning and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday morning. Don Culp arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He informed me that the ceiling didn't have any traces of mold and the black material was soot or dirt. He also told me the mold I did find at the base of the wall was well within the limit of acceptable levels and it would be overkill for them to perform the work. He said it was something I could handle on my own and told me the proper steps to remove it. Don was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. I was more than confident in his and the companies ability to perform mold remediation to the standards set forth in the industry.

The problem wasn't as serious as she thought. They needed to air out the room. It was a standard mildew problem. They came at no charge.

I received a recommendation to use this company from my Realtor and they did a wonderful job. It is a rough job and they were in the heat and did the job quickly and very efficiently.
