"We were in a bind to keep our other contractor moving. Randy came in, and did all of the things we needed done in 2 days. When he started our job he went right to work, the poor machines of his never stopped moving. He worked from dawn to dust . He did everything we wanted and more. His prices are very reasonable. We liked what he did so much, we are having him do more work in the very near future. So over all I would say if you are looking for someone who knows what they are doing, reasonable prices and overall a good guy, then I would say you should give him a call. No we did not know him before, all we did is Google what we were looking for and his name came up. If you want to see what he can do, you can call, Randy and see the work he did at our house."

There are plenty of ways to heat a pool without a heater. For instance, you can use a solar blanket to help insulate and stabilize the water's temperature, use a pool cover and a dark-colored garden hose, purchase solar rings, or build a windproof enclosure.

You don’t need to drain the whole pool to patch a pool liner, but be prepared to dive in with your swimsuit and goggles to patch a leak below the water level. By draining the pool, you can actually expose the liner to more harsh conditions, like wind and sunlight, that cause the tears to worsen. It’s best to use the ink test and waterproof patches or tape to identify the leak and patch it up.

You can avoid pool collapse—known as pool pop in an inground pool—if you follow the instructions on how to drain your pool safely. Wait for a temperate, dry day and slowly remove the water with a sump pump, hose, or the attached drains and hydrostatic plugs.

Both above ground and inground pools can have pool liners. Inground pools made of gunite don’t need pool liners, and you’ve probably walked along an unlined pool and felt the ripples and ridges on the floors and walls. But adding a liner over gunite or other pool types helps protect the wall panels from algae growth.

The best time to run a pool pump is during the warmest hours of the day. Algae needs sunlight to grow and sunlight depletes chlorine. With that in mind, it’s best to run your pump during daylight hours to discourage algae growth and ensure proper pool chemistry. Keep in mind you don’t have to run your pump continuously for eight hours. Try running for a few hours in the morning then shutting it off and running it for a few hours in the afternoon.
