His stump grinder is a state of the art piece of equipment that did a fabulous job in no time at all. Perhaps most important is the fact that there was no collateral damage from the work, no ruts or tracks in our yard. In most cases, it’s better to remove rocks before adding mulch. Layering the two will restrict drainage and plant health, and can create an unpleasant texture underfoot.
