Bill Mullen Electric

I purchased 3 identical ceiling fans online. I had to reschedule the installation once. Bill and 2 guys showed up on time. They were well prepared and did the work in a couple of hours. They cleaned up the before leaving. They only evidence of their work left behind were the empty boxes the fans shipped in. Just about perfect.

Did a deal offered by Bill Mullen Electric and Angie's List. We purchased 8 hours of work for $399. We are very satisfied with all aspects of the work that was performed and will use Bill Mullen Electric again.

Great! There was a small issue with wiring but it was quickly resolved. The wiring was already in place. Bill had not installed it.

They hung up the lights but did not do underground wiring for sign light which was the main reason I got them . They said did not have a trench & were not prepared for it Claimed addl job will cost $550 for re wring

Good, workers professional and efficient

I installed a bathroom exhaust fan but the electrical was not sufficient for it to work with the lights. Bill ran wiring from the basement up to the 2nd floor switch so that I could properly run my exhaust fan and lights from a dual switch. I was very impressed by their professionalism, punctuality, and responsiveness. Bill was extremely nice and I would not hesitate to hire him again; in fact I probably will. Bill chatted with me about some of my future projects and he gave me an idea of what to expect and what I may want to do. My wife and I could not be present at the time of the service so we provided Bill a code to enter our home and he performed the services and locked up when he left. Don't hesitate to call Bill!

Work not performed as they failed to honor the purchase terms,

Scheduling was prompt, convenient, and easy. Our service person called to let us know he'd be a few minutes late due to the weather, which was fine. He performed a detailed review of the current state of our electrical system and helped us answer some questions we had about previous work that had been done. He was very thorough and professional. We were pleased with the results.

He offered recommendations to strengthen the system, but he was not pushy with his recommendations. We will call him in future.

It turned out fine and we were very pleased.

I needed the service I paid for. I contacted but never heard a reply. Horrible. I want my money back!!!!!

Nick came out and did a great sweep of the house. Checked all the outlets and the light fixtures I was worried about. Everything was fine and he explained that the air conditioners were the cause of the dimming lights. It really put my money no at ease. He replaced an outlet and a light fixture in my tool shed. The service was fast and my questions were answered. Will definitely be calling Mullen the next time I need work done!

Never called to schedule an appointment and claimed they could not

Great! The team was professional, on time, courteous and did a very good job. Bill did a great job communicating and ensuring the work was done smoothly.

Excellent, Bill is professional, prompt to reply to emails / scheduling considerations and did a great job with the work we needed and then educating us on how to use it. Also produced a document we can share when we sell our house re: electrical inspection results. Really happy to have found him and definitely will work with him again.

On Friday, June 24th in the AM I purchased a deal for a whole house electrical inspection. I didn't get a response from the contractor which was ok because I had just purchased the deal. On Monday, June 27th my husband contracted the office just to see when the electrician would be able to schedule an appt to come out. He spoke with the receptionist who stated that she would have the electrical return his call. My husband nor I never received a response from from the electrician. On Tuesday, June 28th I contacted the office just to set up a scheduled appt. and the receptionist stated that she would have the electrician give me a call either at home or on my cell. Again, my husband nor I never received any responses back from the electrician. All we needed was a scheduled appointment. If he was busy that was fine but we just needed a response as to when he would be able to set up an appointment. Today is Wednesday, June 29th and I have yet to hear from this contractor. This is bad business. If he performed work in my house and I had a problem it seems as though I would not be able to reach him to resolve the problem so I decided to call Angie's List and cancel his services and locate another contractor. Nick at Angie's List was very kind in helping me locate another contractor who will perform the same services. I purchased the deal and within 20 minutes the contractor was calling to schedule an appointment. I'm not stating that Bill Mullen Electric wouldn't have done a professional job but I was not taking the chance and I won't be calling him back for any services. Thank you for allowing me to voice this review.

Nick arrived bright and early in the morning. He's friendly and thoughtful. He inspected the to-do list and got to work right away on the most important items on the list. The wiring for the bathroom was pretty straightforward and fixed right away. The wiring for the outdoor light was more complicated due to the age of our house. Happily, he called the office, described what he was seeing, and was able to figure out what was happening. Nick also fixed a non-working outlet in an upstairs bedroom, and inspected the non-working attic fan so that he knew what to expect for his next visit.

Bill and Michael did a fabulous job!! They were very professional and told me what they were going to do before they did it. They gave me great advice! They were on time and responded very quickly to my more immediate situation. I am having them back to do some additional work. I am much more at ease knowing that they looked over the electrical condition of my home. A big thanks to Bill and Michael!!

Hours after purchasing the deal, I received an email from Bill Mullen looking to schedule the appointment. Within a week, 2 electricians were at our house. They installed 4 lights in a playroom & changed out 2 existing lights (external fixtures to internal recessed canisters) in 2 other areas in the house. They were professional, quick & clean. Would recommend them to others & will use them again in the future.

Mr Mullen scheduled my electrical work within 1 week of the deal that I purchased. Nick arrive promptly for the job and was very professional and got the job done! Thank you!

Bill showed up without a helper because someone called out of work. Fishing cable through walls is really a 2-person job, but he managed well by himself. Of course, the job took longer. The reason for the Fs for responsiveness and professionalism resulted from his response when I called to have him do some additional work. When I spoke with him I pointed out that his license from the state had expired (I though it was just an oversight on his part) and, since I couldn't verify his liability insurance coverage from the Attorney General's website, I requested a copy of his insurance certificate. He never called me back to set an appointment. Did I hurt his feelings? A licensed contractor is supposed to have a valid license and proof of insurance coverage. Apparently, a customer is not supposed to ask!

Nothing to report other than multiple calls requesting his services were ignored despite being very politely told that they would be responded to. Lack of organization - Lack of professionalism. My sense is that he is busy and has plenty of work and is in a position to ignore opportunities. Good for him.
