"Originally got a price on reparing a wall with a large hole in it (after a plumbing repair). His prices were so good, we also hired him to paint a few rooms and do a few other odds and ends. We were exteremely happy with the results. We'll be hiring him again in the future when we need stuff done around the house."

"This is my second time using burdge construction. I used him for a basement remodeling based on his creativity with my bedroom and master bathroom. His creativity is amazing! Using old barn wood for custom trim and to box out my support beams! The quality is Top notch, and his price is unbeatable! Talk about bang for your buck! I can't wait for him to do my other house!"

"First and foremost is the honesty. In this type of thing something does not always go as planned and Scott is as straight forward as u can get with a contractor, even when you really don't want to hear it. His level of professionalism can't be matched. And his fees for all of our work....at first we thought he has no clue cause his estimate came in much less than others. We started with just installing cabinets but we decided to do tile floor and to take a wall down and open it up. Let me tell you it's quite a process but at the end when it was all done, WOW it is amazing. We were blown away. This guy does know what he is doing and I recommend 24k to everyone I know."

In many cases, you can DIY home childproofing with success. You can purchase childproofing tools like cabinet locks, outlet covers, and table-edge guards and install them easily.
However, it's best to have a professional childproofing service work on larger projects like pool safety or furniture anchoring. These safety measures can take a lot of time and effort to DIY, plus, you want to ensure the tasks are done correctly to keep your child safe.
Many parents, especially first-time parents, agree that professional childproofing is worth it. These professional childproofing services are trained to recognize dangerous home situations that many people would overlook until it's too late. Furthermore, professional childproofing experts have access to top-of-the-line equipment you can't purchase at most stores, providing longevity and peace of mind.
A professional childproofer will first survey your home to identify potentially dangerous locations, including stairs, cabinets, and pools. Once approved, your professional will order and install the safety equipment for you.
Some ways a childproofing professional will make your home safe include:
Anchoring large furniture
Installing safety gates
Installing safety latches on cabinets and drawers
Covering railings that could trap a child
Covering electrical outlets
Installing a swimming pool fence
Removing or covering electrical cords where possible
The average cost of childproofing services is $410. This cost can range from $190 to $630 or more, depending on the size of your home and what services you need.
The location of the childproofing additions also plays a vital role in the overall cost. For example, a bathroom is relatively small and costs about $150 to fully childproof. However, if you have a swimming pool, you could spend as much as $1,500 to $10,000 to make it entirely safe for small children, including adding a pool fence.
The best time to hire a childproofing professional is at least three months before your due date. Although it might seem early, proper childproofing takes time, especially if you need extensive services like a pool fence. Getting your house ready now before your child is on the go only helps to protect them at all stages of life.
